More numbers later =P

Notes:
1) Actual numbers for Europe are by me from pixel counting (reverse engineering) the charts.
2) US numbers from NPD and Japan, Media Create.

THE WORDS! They'll drift away without the _!
That confirms that the PS3 is not up YoY in Europe (but way more steady than the 360). Meaning that the shipments couldn't possibly up like IDC guesstimated.

Really surprised the PS3 didn't get a bigger spike from the new models.

Doesn't look like the PS3 is more steady than the 360 to me. Did better in the latter weeks but the 360 was better earlier on in the quarter.

True, but those latter weeks look to be over 50k a week down, whereas the earlier ones appear to be much less.
Might be close though.

I just don't believe those PSP numbers. Where is it selling? Mainland EU people, is the PSP still on sale over there?

Here in the UK PSP has been dead for about three years if not more.

So with ~950(?)k US, 630k JP and 430k EU that would be about 2000k ww up to end of Dec

Which means with there 3 million shipped numbers for the financial report about a million sitting on shelves coming into the new year. With the current sales and bleak lineup I think they might even miss their revised forecast for the WiiU

There was an article last year or maybe the year before about how popular it was in eastern europe because of the ease of piracy. Probably no chance of me remembering where that was from now though.

edit: dp :(

I thought the 3 million number is sold?

MIght? That's a given.

I am almost sure unless there is any major release, which apparently there isn't, they will miss it.

Got to add the rest of the world in. Canada probably ~100K, don't really know about other places.

Yes they've shipped more than they have sold but people need to remember they have to stock shore shelves and fill the distribution channels. I don't think overshipment was that bad. Next quarter probably will have shipments be the same as sales.

Definitely will miss that revised forecast though, cause I'd be surprised if sales were more than 600-700K based on current trends.

Depends on shipment schedules. Shipments could be up even if sales are down, if reserves were depleted the previous quarter (which could have been true, since Sony apparently held off on shipping new PS3s until the newer Slim model was ready)

Also, its important to note that there's a lot of countries missing from Nintendo's data. So, while it's probably 70% complete, there are plenty of other regions that aren't accounted for.

Edit - This bit wrong! 360 down quite a bit vs 2011.

PS3 still very strong in Europe. Easy winner.

Wii U in serious trouble.

360 seemed to have a much better end of 2012 in Europe than 2011. I guess those good bundles must have paid off.

Hm? Isn't 360 down quite a lot from 2011 at the end of the year?

Unless i'm looking at the wrong line, which is very possible..
