XB1 epic collapse. Good thing the Wii U drop from last year is fresh in our minds to make this not seem as terrible as it really is.

Really interested in Nintendo numbers.

I think the PS4 and X1 numbers are low. I hate to say it but the explosive start for these two are signs of the hardcore initials and that casuals are taking a break.
Casuals don't buy $400-500 game consoles unless they have limitless disposable income.
They will, however, purchase $400-500 iPads.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
XBONE numbers are a bit worrisome.

Solid entry for Lara Croft with only 3 days on the market counted for NPD.

Hoping NPD sheds some light on 3DS sales as well if sales are going to be constant or drop.

Ouch at that MS spin.

So who will be the first to make a "congratulations [X]" post?

Congratulations Sony! You sold 300K PS4s even though you have no games and PSN goes down every two minutes!

Congratulations Microsoft! You sold 146K Xbox One even though it causes leprosy, the internet is mean to it, and the Power Adapter has a fan in it!

Congratulations!!!

Posting this question here since we now have a dedicated NPD thread:

I'm not good at predicting sales so this may be a stupid question to ask, but why would Titanfall give a boost for its release month? Wouldn't the people who wanted Titanfall already have the Xbox One by now? Would people really hold off buying the system in Dec and Jan just to buy it in February or March? I can understand holding off for nearly a year until Autumn, but a few weeks just for one game? And, wouldn't these people who haven't bought a system already be compelled to buy the 360 version since they assumedly already own that system?

I guess, is there any historical precedent for a Titanfall bump? Has there ever been a scenario where a system launches, a big semi-exclusive game comes out 3-4 months later, and there's a surge of console sales?

Tomb Raider made the list . . . so can we expect a flood of up-ports of games from the PS360?

Probably. Many previous gen games might as well be a new game at 1080p, better framerate, and a good anti-aliasing solution. At least it'll sell to those who didn't have a capable PC.

I don't want to see what going to happen to MS when Sony gets it's supply problems sort out .
They better do some fast cause if they lose NA this bad they are in real trouble .

So PS4 is < 286k? That's really low, too. I know it was sold out, but why does Sony ship so few units in 1 month? Pachter predicted they could ship 1,4m per month iirc. But if they didn't even ship 300k to US, this can't be right at all.

Wasn't the word that they airlifted January shipments to make it in time for December, in both the EU & US? Would explain the reduced shipments this month.

They have other markets to supply and impending Japanese launch.

They launch in Japan in a few weeks is why. They can't simply ship 700k NA/700k Rest of the world as they have been.

Don't forget that the Xbox One requires a baby to eat once every 24 hours. That's always important.

So how long until third parties start pulling Xbox One support?
This totally isn't premature.

3DS less than 145k? God damn, Nintendo is really in deep shit if the 3DS's downward trend continues alongside the Wii U's likely continued failure.

Which SKU sold more:

COD: Xbone
NBA: PS4
BF4: PS4
AC4: PS4
Madden: PS4
Fifa: PS4
Lego: Xbone
Tomb Raider: PS4

PS4 owners eatting up EA titles. If only another EA title releasing next month was coming out for PS4...

As long as the check doesn't bounce back, they're okay with it.

I will run down the aisle at a Gamestop and add them ALL to my cart. I will hold my arm out and buy them ALL. They will come tumbling down from the shelves into my cart like supermarket sweep.

TLOU
Uncharted
Gears of War
Halo
Bioshock
Asscrud
Far Cry
CALLADUTY volume 1
CALLADUTY volume 2
Killzone
Gran Turismo
FFXII
Resident Evil
Ninja Gaiden
Infamous
Resistance

Hell I'll buy STAR OCEAN 4 HD+ just for more LYMLE

RamzaIsCool

The Amiga Brotherhood
Platform are mentioned by rank right?

That means. CoD sold better on XBO. BF4 better on PS4 and apparently the PS4 is also the place to be for sports titles.

It may be under the PS3's first January numbers, but when you consider the bad PR, and people on Neogaf screaming doomed*, this is a pretty good turnaround.

It's the new "Wait for X game" syndrome that happened when the PS3 was selling poorly. Except this time it's for Microsoft...and for a game that isn't actually even exclusive to one system.

Xbone number must be alarming for Microsoft but I don't think they need to panic yet. If they get outsold on Titanfall month, THEN sound the alarms.
