Truly an amazing showpiece for next-gen. I seriously can't wait till this embargo lifts, as I'm hoping there's other parts of the B-Roll we haven't seen. And then the trailer should also show different footage.
Ready at Dawn are doing a stellar job for their first console game. I hope Sony can acquire them.
Also, if we're seeing this from what I assume isn't a huge studio, and it's their first foray into console game development, what are games from SSM and ND going to look like?

What's wrong with them? There's a gameplay comparison and a graphics comparison. Nothing wrong with that.

Fair enough. I think this is more impressive though. Lighting, modelling and effects, all (a bit) more impressive. Plus I expect IQ to be better.

Of course people would quote you when you draw comparisons to Ryse and complain about the aspect ratio in the same post.
It's beautiful, but I am pretty disappointed at what's been shown by the melee so far...
1) Dodging should never be done through a QTE. Let the players decide when they should dodge
2) A "Branching QTE" finisher system is flashy but unless there are tangible consequences for choosing one option over another, it's useless for gameplay
Hopefully it's deeper than it looks in that video but I'm not holding my breath.

They certainly are. Their comments make it sound like all cover based TPS are just Gears clones. By that logic UC is also a Gears clone.
And comparing it to Ryse is also pretty weird. Ryse is a 900p game that struggles to keep at 30, mostly running in the 20s. It's almost insulting to compare The Order to Ryse
I'm proud of the lil guy, personally.

Strange, does not happen to me...
On topic, seems that Ready at Dawn will not disappoint. Game looks glorious. I just hope that it does not take control off the player every 5 seconds.

Please tell us what next gen gameplay is or should be? Keep hearing this complain again and again in 1886 threads. Maybe you should make a "next gen" gameplay game so we all know.
Also not much has been shown and this game has months to be cooked to perfection

I'm shocked nobody has mentioned about how close the camera is yet, usually that stuff doesn't bother me but I noticed it immediately.
This gif always makes me crazy thirsty when I see it, anyone else?

Why laugh? Ryse is an extremely good looking game and this just tops it off imo.
