Played a few games of Team Slayer, went 26+4 one game and 32+6 in another hnnnnnng
Best pair of back to back games for me in a very long time.
In the 32 kill one I got off to a fast start getting a spree in the first 30-40 seconds and called in ordnance, got a damage boost and was able to dong on brodies to get a triple + double not long after and ended up dying at 12 kills in the first ~minute and a half of the game. The rest of my team combined had 4 kills at that point. I slowed down a lot but best start for me in a single game on Halo 4 so far I think.

I understand what you're saying. I wasn't really there for Halo: CE. But I remember fully playing Halo 2 when I was 7. Although most Halo players were a lot older than me, I still felt blown away. There really was no game like Halo at the time. And at the time I fell in love with Halo only because of the fun I had playing my family and cousins.
But yeah, I guess I played more of the "bad Halos" then the good. I probably spent the most time on Reach. I also played a lot of Halo 3, but more of Reach. I only played Reach because of the amazingly fun customs.I played with a lot of my friends and we just had a blast playing a variety of gametypes and minigames.
I wasn't the same Halo fan at the time of Halo 2 then I am now. At the time I played Halo, it was because it was fun, unique, beautiful and playing it with my brothers made it even better. I became a big-time Halo fan sometime around the Halo 3 era when I really just dove into the story line and multiplayer and just became more competitive. So I still "grew up" with the series. Not as old, but old enough.

Yup, this is true for a lot of the younger people I know. Forge / Forge World was a huge draw.

Interesting. I don't really understand the Rookie and Veteran thing, but I like the Transmission idea.
Does the attackers and defenders alternate between veteran and rookie like 1 flag? Or is it fixed to each game type what you play as and I sorry If I'm kinda jumping ahead of what you've posted. I do like the core delivery game type thingy.

It's just like Invasion's elites and spartans, I wanted to clearly diferentiate between each team.
You can alter each teams traits plus each team gets a few exclusives skills, you'll get more details on the later soon.
Teams switch sides after the round is over, just like in Invasion
You can also change what team is attacking or defending.

Nah. I did make one yesterday that has my post counts for every Halo OT I was a part of. In the five Reach OTs I was a member for, I had just over 900 posts. That was just under a year of posts. I'm baffled(not in a good way, apologies for being blunt) that someone has over a 1000 posts in a couple of months with nothing in terms of news.

Does it really bother people that some have a lot of posts? I like to think Halo communities consist of fans that tend to stay close with one another, so it's never surprising or off-putting to me how much we get off topic around here. Who cares Stormtrooper has so many posts, what harm does it do?
We're all Halo fans enjoying each other's company. Isn't that the point of these threads: to foster an interesting community that extends beyond the game itself?

I feel like growing up is the best part of growing old. Well, unless growing up means working 40+ hours a week until retirement (if you live that long), then to hell with that. The older I get the better my relationships and general life is, and I definitely attribute that to growing up, becoming more emotionally intelligent, being able to look beyond my own life experiences more, etc.
I've aged pretty well so far. My secret is excruciating social anxiety and never leaving the house.

A year or two ago when i had a posting streak, people complained about it to me (and noted that was what got Zoojoo banned, when it actually was stupid posts, not posting a lot). Seen complaints about posting a lot before too. People here sure seem to have an issue with posting a lot. Don't understand why.

Even before the zoojoo fiasco, top posters in the thread has always been a joking wall of shame kinda thing.
It's just a matter of people who tend to post super frequently make bad posts.
If you compiled half of Stormtroopers posts you would have the entirety of Jurassic Park in gif form.
it's because when someone's number of posts goes above a certain number, it's pretty much a guarantee that a solid majority of their posts are just bad quality posts

Do like me, put the person in question to ignore, and start reading their posts again when someone quotes something actually interesting, or check them occasionally.

Yeah.. Halo 4 didn't really get close to the number of hours I played with Reach, even though I'm a level 130. One of the many things I deeply felt Halo 4 lacked. Sitting down and playing those custom games created some memories I will never forget.
