Foursquare has been removed from the PS Vita store and will never be supported again

Greetings everyone. Few days ago, I was surprised that to find (or not find) that the foursquare app was missing from the PS Vita store. First, I thought it was a bug within the store and that will be corrected later. To my further surprise, I receieved today an e-mail from Sony Playstation confirming that. I searched for infos about this and I found out that the app got removed since 2/11/2014:

http://community.us.playstation.com...oursquare-App-Removed-2-11-2014/td-p/42925681

And here is the content of the em-mail I got today:

"
foursquare on PS Vita
We have important information to share about foursquare on PlayStation ® Vita.

Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. will no longer load the foursquare app on PS Vita from 1 April 2014 and was removed from the PlayStation ® Store from February 12, 2014.

You can still use your foursquare account on other mobile devices or on the foursquare website, where data will be stored in your account.

We hope you continue to enjoy other social networking applications available on PS Vita."

Can you please explain to me the reasons for such cruel act? First Laying off SSM veteran employees and cancelling a promising game on PS4 and now redducing the number of apps on PS Vita thus its versatility. I thought the PS Vita will get more apps in the future and not the opposite. I will keep the app and will never delete it.

Not...really sure what SSM layoffs has to do with it, but...

I imagine foursquare app is gone because no one used it?

Oh no, how will I ever let people know where I am at all times?*

*Disregard Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Youtube, Pinterest, Google+, Flickr, MySpace, etc.

Dump Near next.

Yes, I fear it may be true, so will t@g too. I think will delete every app that relies on travelling and using 3G since the model will be discontinued and replaced by the crap Slim model which can be described as the worst device Sony may have ever released.

I'm lost.

This is the game where four kids stand in a divided square drawn on the parking lot in chalk and throw a ball around, with one kid being king, right?

That sucks if you use it, but does anyone lol?

Is it not the app that lets you tell other people where you are? Like, digital stalker shit?

I don't understand why anyone would want that.

It's an app where you check-in to shops, restaurants, movies, music venues, etc. when you visit them. Some places have deals with foursquare where they will provide rewards based on number of check-ins and who has checked-in the most in a 60 day period (referred to as the "Mayor").

I'm still pissed they removed the Crunchyroll Vita app from the store.

It was never there. They've been promising it was coming for 2 years and it still aint here.

God can be very cruel and uncaring.

First September 11th happened......and now Foursquare has been removed from the Playstation Vita.

I can't believe you'd compare 50 layoffs at SSM with a useless foursquare app being EOL'ed as if they are remotely related or point to a larger trend. Lol.

SSM lay offs has to do anything with foursquare? Not sure if genuinely mad or trying to stirr up a non issue =/

Bish of course.

Also, comparing the layoff of 50 people to the removal of some Foursquare app is tasteless at best.

Shhh. Don't be a party pooper.

We still might be able to get some more hilarious comparisons/overreactions out of this guy.
