Have Google Translate on hand when registering an account. Signing in and checking out is easy enough, though, thanks to the iconography.

Edit: Oh, and to clarify you don't need to use a VPN to buy from Nuuvem. In some cases you do (e.g. Football Manager 2014) but not with South Park.

Oh really?? Hmm, I might use Spotflux while I buy it anyway just in case.

Alright, I'm going for it right now! Thanks for your help. Wish me luck! :p

Yeah, but doesn't really help when they come out the day the game comes out. By then peoples order will already be shipped. We just want to know what console version is the best besides PC.
I'm not a big fan of preorders in general, and I don't know which console version is best, but yeah, if you're worried about technical issues, my advice would be to wait for reviews.

That's a fantastic point. I mean, if the gameplay is a lot of fun and well done, then the grinding won't become so much a chore. I should have edited my post, because I don't think what I said works for every game. But personally, I hate it when there is no more story left, and the game tacks on 40 + hours of just grinding to get to a final boss.

But you are right that, if the combat is that much fun, and that rewarding, then it won't be seen as grinding per se. If a game is really gameplay driven, then it's not really fair to compare it to a more story driven game etc. So I'm glad you brought this up, thank you.

Lol, no problem.

It was just one of the things that popped into my head when the length discussion started.
I realized my top played RPGs are all heavy in the gameplay department as opposed to pretty damn story driven, which this game seems to be.

I prefer shorter story driven titles, as i feel they begin to drag. (Except kingdom hearts, thats my exception :p)

Does the game have install option on ps3?

It installs some game data quickly the first time you play it but nothing massive. Don't see any options to further install any more data.

I think I remember someone saying there are difficulty options, but does anyone know all they have? just easy, normal, hard?

I'll check next time I play but I believe it is just three difficulties defaulting to the medium one.

Yeah, I also tend to think that its far harder to write something that is genuinely funny vs the very ham handed drama we are use to in the genre.

Obsidian could probably have lowered travel time and increased encounter rate -- but I'm not sure either of those make a game better.

Done! Just bought it on Nuuvem.
Damn, I thought I would get the key now and be able to activate it on steam already (just not play it yet).
Oh well I guess I'll just wait till the 4th.
Thanks JaseC!

Yeah, but I wanted the fellowship pack of costumes, don't want to pay any extra.

As weird as it sounds for such a game, I recon I'll be putting this on my SSD (I usually reserve that sort of thing for MP games or Diablo 3). After watching some of the PS3 stream, I want the area loading as short as possible, on the stream to me it looks pretty annoying and common.

Apart from that, man does it look good - I swear you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between the game and the show.

gave away the keys to the kingdom.

Ubi hasn't sent out keys yet, judging from GMG's forums.

Can us Aussies get the uncensored steam version through the US store or something?

You could have someone gift it to you but then you'd be paying $60. Just buy it from Nuuvem and use Spotflux to activate the key if need be.

I had pre-ordered this game years ago, literally.
PC Pre-order: October 16, 2012 for $33.74
Xbox 360 Pre-order: October 16, 2012 for $47.99

I don't think I need two copies of the same game so I might sell the Xbox 360 version if the performance isn't up to par. Since the show is 2D for the most part I don't see why it couldn't hit 1080p, or at the lease be 60fps.

Maybe I will pre-load if there are lots of loading screens. One thing I have noticed, even if I put a game on my HDD, the massive CPU overhead still creates loading times that are fractions of a second long.

You'd be surprised how weak even the next-gen consoles are, relatively, let alone the previous-generation.

Yeah, that is what I am afraid of. However, there are some XBLA titles that do run 1080p, yeah they are simple visually but so is South Park to an extent. Also, if CoD can reach 60fps then South Park should.

And done. I spent
*removed cause....EMBARGO*
hours according to steam. Did all the sidequests but 1 cause I can't find the last
homeless person (if someone who has done this quest knows where they are, let me know, it's driving me nuts!)
So unless I missed talking to someone for a quest on accident. Yep that's about it. Will get started on my review tonight or tomorrow. Got a lot to say.

Well, that gets it close to 15 hours, disappointing its with every side quest though. Could be worse I guess and be 6 hours long.

Any optional bosses? I guess nobody can say about that either.

I don't mind the length this time, cause I have Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD coming out soon after South Park. I will be pouring hundreds of hours into those games.

Uh-oh, prepare for ass storm.

I just want the game to be good. Please be good!

Huh, that's a good question, the thought hadn't even crossed my mind but there's so much potential for awesome there.

Rayman legends runs at 1080p 60 fps on last gen. So, it's possible, but I'm not really expecting it for this game.

I might not even WANT it to be 60 FPS, haha. Something like this should look more like the TV show in action, not better. Though an optional toggle would be nice.

Well that's totally different than the 16-18hr with no sidequests the other GAF member posted and tbh pretty disappointing if true.

Did you feel like you rushed through the game at all? Also what difficulty did you play on?

Def didn't feel like I rushed it at all. The in game timer says I only played 10 or so hours. So it's a bit inaccurate if you ask me. As for difficulty, normal.

So it's kind of confirmed it's a 13-15 hour game with sidequests.

Still sounds good to me, 3 nights of playing while the wife watches sounds good to me!

I'll be starting on the hardest difficulty, so that should add on a few hours.

Anyway, length doesn't concern me at all. I just hope it's as good as I'm expecting.

Looking forward to the review!

Ouch. Very disappointing. Only 13 hours to do everything in an RPG? It's basically the same length as Uncharted 2. Also disappointing to hear about the PS3 performance issues. I'm sure I'll still love it, but I think I've downgraded from purchase to rental at this point.

Odd, I can't cancel it now but I haven't been charged yet. I guess I'll contact them later, I wonder if the change in expiration dates could've sunk the whole thing anyway.

It IS a crowded month, and some may not be able to just go getting whatever. In January this would be a pretty easy call, but whether you want niche RPGs or blockbusters this month doesn't fail to deliver.

Change in expiration dates screwed up my PS4 order on launch, i almost didn't get one.

I have a pretty big discount on this too, but nothing a Steam summer sale wouldn't match if it came down to that. I THINK I fixed all my orders, but I may've slipped up. I'll have to check I guess.
