Assassin's Creed 4 doesn't have water that interacts with boats like that anyways. See how the wave is breaking apart as the boat goes through it?

Indeed, I didn't see that first time.

I suspected it was AC4 not just because it's a boat that looks like the Jackdaw in an ocean, but because the AC4 tech demos have flicker light changes like that video did.

On reflection, it's certainly a significant step up in terms of the ocean simulation, but it was the second video that really impressed me.

It must be pretty interesting over there at the moment. ND are essentially Sony's flagship studio now, Uncharted is their most important IP, and now we won't SSM's first PS4 game for years, the pressure is on ND to present the most technically advanced engine on the platform. You have people who want more of the same, people who want to see the series reinvented, and they have to deal with TLoU team hugely raising the bar for the studio.

That's an insane amount of pressure.
