Winter-Spring 2014 Anime |OT3| People incapable of guilt usually do have a good time

According to Hito, the large majority of the show is painfully boring and only toward the end does the standard harem structure undergo a darkly amusing School Days-esque subversion. I'd probably skip it for whatever's next.

That's accurate. I watched it as a teenager and had forgotten it was 24 episodes. At that length it's not worth the wait for things to happen, although I got a kick out of it back when it came out.

I actually like Shuffle! One of the first harem shows I watched though. And the first show I saw with
a yandere character
.

Both the OP and ED songs are good too:

ED animation is pretty bad though.

So next after Shuffle is Street Fighter II V Also with caveats. Basically, excluding Yami, the whole rest of the list reads "With Caveats"

I fucking quit. "Lucky Thoroughbred."

Just. I don't know how we're even at this fucking town. There's literally no transition from last episode to this one. The fact that the Monster Union guys ALL HAVE THE SAME FUCKING VOICE ACTOR is just.

I can't do it. This show is hideous to look at. The music ranges from okay to OH MY FUCKING GOD THAT HORRIBLE FUCKING VIOLIN SHIT AGAIN. I don't CARE about any of these characters because there isn't anything to them. The words people say HAVE NO MEANING and now we're just introducing bullshit things like "OMOTENNIUM".

FUCK IT. FUCKING FUCK THIS PIECE OF HIDEOUS, VILE, REPULSIVE, WORTHLESS SHIT.

And moreover, Strike this from the List. There isn't anything weird. There isn't any notably bad voice acting. There isn't anything enjoyable about this awful, painful, cheap, shoddy, gaudy, pathetic, miserable, repugnant, creatively bankrupt, meandering, poorly paced, pedantic waste of ink that merits any soul ever watching it again.

Mediocre is too strong a word to describe a series so wholly tepid as this.

Guess I can show you this now then: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=35492659&postcount=6784

Japanese colds are the most deadly pathogen known to man.

This was actually setting up to be a relatively normal episode. And then the second half happened.

It's not worth it. I'm proud of you for dropping it though!

I might youtube the last episode at some point, but for now I'm satisfied with what I have seen. Because what I've seen is too little wacky and too much bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Great Mazinger 13

It occurs to me that Anno may be a bit skewed in his vision of what Super Robot father-son relationships are. I mean, on the one hand, Doc Saotome, Kabuto Juuzou, Kabuto Kenzo and Tem Ray are all horribly rough guys who, by today's standards would be pretty shit dads.

On the other hand, Doc Saotome is also capable of being extremely tender, Juuzou had a lot of skeletons in his closet forcing him to act the way he did, Kenzo actually does care for his sons a great deal but distances himself because he's afraid of getting close, and Tem gets messed up in the head before he has a chance to really prove if he's actually the way he is when first we meet him or if he's not just under an enormous amount of wartime stress.

I mean, look at Prof. Yumi. He seems to be pretty much a nice guy, and there aren't any kinks in his relationship with Sayaka in spite of his job. Granted, Anno was all messed up when he worked on EVA, but I do think that Gendo comes from a somewhat negative and misguided view of meca dads.

Hype continues to deflate as the series continues to spin its wheels over nothing. Battles are abstract, and characters seem to check in and out of them at their leisure. Thematically everything else is pretty one note, as it has been for ages now, so dialogue all feels repetitive and rather boring.

I kind of just hit this point where all I could think about was how lame this show is. From the character designs that have become so bloated and stupid looking to the unexciting plot nothing is clicking with me in the show's final moments. And nothing is worse at creating tension than the power levels of certain characters being magically boosted up just so everyone can participate even as the show hits its end game. It's like Kill la Kill is being patched and maintained by Blizzard Entertainment.

As much as I'd like to believe it isn't supposed to be Quattro Vagina, that another character is named Jamitov Hymen in a Gundam show baaaaaasically seals the deal.

Yeah. It might have been my first. Certainly my first best girl winning anime. Never realised at the time just how rare that is.

Director: Mitsue Yamazaki
Series composition & script: Yoshiko Nakamura
Character design: Junichiro Taniguchi
Animation production: Dogakobo

Cast:
Yūichi Nakamura
Ari Ozawa
Nobuhiko Okamoto

I want to like the girl, but I don't think I will.

Think I'll start on the manga before watching.

The new Garo TV anime starts in Fall. Directed by Yuichiro Hayashi, written by Yasuko Kobayashi, produced by MAPPA.

Cautiously optimistic.

PR for

Gugure! Kokkuri-san http://moca-news.net/article/20140322/201403220115b/01/ (bigger pics)
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun http://moca-news.net/article/20140322/201403220115a/01/ (more sketches of the characters)

lol the Go to Hell cover

Okay, let's fill this out and get a sense of where the most hype is concentrated.

Phew

Almost made a mistake and voted for Marvel Disk Wars

After War Gundam X - 20

So it seems a tiny bit of :SDBurton has found its way into this show. If only a sliver of it.

So it looks like
Ennil won't be attacking the Friedan again any time soon. So at least that takes care of that. Honestly, I didn't care much for her.

Whenever I see these happy charming moments Garrod has with Tiffa, the overwhelming sense of "something really bad is going to happen to one of them" only gets bigger. I suppose that's par for the course for a Gundam show, but Tomino didn't work on this, so I guess there's a little bit of hope that things will be (at the very least slightly) different here.

Adding to the list of reasons why CCA is a horrible piece of shit movie, Char's motives in it are completely removed from the motives he has in Zeta. In Zeta it's all about "Hey since the Zeon decimated civilization on Earth during the OYW, why not take this chance to relocate mankind off of the Earth so we don't wind up destroying it?"

In CCA it's "LOL DROPPIN ROCKS ON DA URF CUZ GRABBITY IS EEEEEVIL."

I actually really enjoyed this last episode of KLK but I'll willingly admit that I'm tired of jet-skirt mode. Aerial battles are not KLK's strong point, no sir.

BGBW

Maturity, bitches.
Would it be selfish of me to ask KLK finale talk to be kept behind spoiler bars next week since I'll not be able to see it until the second week of April? Usually I wouldn't mind, but it is the final episode.
