Hard to believe this is one of the very first exclusive titles for PS4 as well, just an amazing game start to finish the lighting is just crazy and the game runs beautifully and looks even better in action with all the powers imo.

I can't even wait to see what Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studio, and all the others who produced some amazing PS3 visuals are capable of. (I'm drooling over Uncharted PS4)

I have a feeling this place is gonna be inFamous the thread for a while ;)

So I didn't take this shot, but for some reason the detail on Deslin's sneakers and jeans blew me away with how lifelike they look =O

Well... it's pretty easy to pick out the downsampled shots from actual gameplay shots in this thread. Just to be clear, the "bullshots" look like this:

They were downsampled from 5760x3240, of course. When you look at the uncompressed shots in this thread, you can still see aliasing. Mostly subpixel and shader aliasing, which are the hardest to tackle I think.

It's still a very impressive AA solution and probably looks much better in motion that it does in stills.
How do you get images of infamous at 5760x3240?

Wish you could hide the hud.

Wow, I remember ryse being this pretty great looking game. And now with infamous it just looks alright. Can't wait until we look at infamous and be like "oh, that used to be one of the best looking games". Great shots nonetheless.

The only fault or nitpick I have with the visuals in inFamous, is that your character doesn't create a reflection. Anywhere. He has a basic shadow but when standing in wet roads that are reflecting cars, street lights etc, he is just casting a shadow.

Even early in the game there's a mirror (or mirrored fish bowl or glass I can't recall) and he has no reflection at all.

I don't know if it's to do with some of the visual trickery they've created or not but it would help the (very slight) cutout look he has.

Well.. this is the worst infamous screenshot I've seen since launch. Those are some giant ass dinosaurs being pawned off as ducks.

Preorder consideration... in question.

Haha, what caught my eye was the mass amount of detail in the texturing of the skin. I was just walking down the road and took a triple take on that store window, got in close and was like .. wow .. they were f'in serious about these ummm ... ducks? WTF! lol

It's the resolution and Cryengine blur filter AA solutions.

InFamous SS is gorgeous but weirdness like the light from the headlights magically going through the car in front of it is going to become more and more noticeable as fidelity and realism increase.

Hmmm, the light from the headlight is only showing on the ground?

Oh I see what you mean, yeah. But hey ... the tire does seem to lighten the headlight around it as if the tire was blocking the light, so thats pretty accurate. The tire doesn't block the light completely though but doesn't light go through wheels anyway due to the open spokes?
