I might be persuaded to buy if they fix the AI to what they showed us at E3 as I wanted to play that version of The Last of Us.

You mean like the game?

The E3 demo only made the AI look so good because the player did everything to ensure the AI would make smart-looking choices.

When playing the game, you usually kill everyone before they get the chance to seem intelligent, or stay moving to not get flanked, etc.

I do wonder how much of the grunt work for this port ND will do though considering all other generational ports have been done by other teams.

I'd put money on ND being 100% behind the port as they will want a test game to get their old engine up and running on PS4. Obviously many of them are working on Uncharted but I'd bet many of their programmers helped out on this project to familiarise themselves with the engine on PS4.

Hoping this is as much of an upgrade as Tomb Raider DE.

It's a great game, but there's no hiding it'll be up-rezzed. They won't remake assets, it'll be like Tomb Raider. How is that worth buying a PS4 for?

uh tomb raider looks awesome and a lot of people shut up after seeing it in action.

couple that with tlou being a better experience and it being exclusive (i.e. less people had access to it last gen) then yeah its worth buying for a lot of people. i'd buy it just so i could play the dlc since i had sold my ps3 and the game

I would love this to happen fellow GAFfer since I have the Digital Version that was bought on day One but I no longer have a PS3 since it was sold to help a friend in need (and by that, I never played Left Behind *tear*).

Old engine? I am pretty sure I read that the engine used in TLOU was a cut down version of the engine they intend to use for PS4. Uncharted PS4 is also probably more than halfway done.

Pretty sure the engine they used for TLOU was a modified Uncharted engine and is being carried forward to the PS4.

Uncharted 4 has been in development for a long time but remember ND has a massive staff comprising two teams concurrently working on separate projects (although I believe they mix and help out one another during crunches).

Slightly amusing that the title reads Playstation 'turkey' VP pertaining to a member of SCE that accidentally leaked a major reveal.

Tomb Raider definitely didn't shut me up. It didn't look next-gen.

Overall I'd agree, but the lighting, Lara's character model (which is actually her next gen model) and certain textures definitely were 'next gen'.

Strange game as it walks the line between the two but looks gorgeous in 1080p at 60fps all the same.

Yeah ... this would be the first major leak out of Sony this generation I think. They've done an amazing job keeping a tight lid on things.
