90% of FFXV and KH3 threads, are news of news instead of news....just give us a new trailer for for god sakes a screenshot once every few months

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
After one year of nothing that is what should be expected - quite telling that this is "news worthy", but then they announced FF XV/Versus like 10 years ago lol.

Lets hope so. This game has to be close to a beta version after 10 fucking years of development. I hope 15 gives us the FF we deserve after those 3 shitty Lightning FF13s.
Edit: And first post nails it... again.

that puzzling face
All jokes aside many of the statements in that quote are promising as far as Square Enix finding its center of balance.

If they WEREN'T at E3, there'd be a riot and we'll all continue making "lol, see them at the PS5 re-reveal eventually" jokes.

Yes, trying to treat Hitman as a triple-A release with broad appeal wasn't one of the smartest things they've ever done. Just hope they mean what they say when it comes to the next Hitman supposedly in production - the one that hasn't been cancelled.

Of course there's going to be XV news at E3. They haven't said so much as a peep for a year. Has it been almost a year? too long, SE

At E3 2014

Adam "Canadian" Boyes - "I am honored to bring to you via satellite Tetsuya Nomura "

Tetsuya Nomura " It has been a while since we have gave you an update to the 15th project Enjoy"

Plays same trailer from 2008

Tetsuya Nomura "We will have more information in regards to Kingdom hearts III at TGS 2014 Oh and i have one other surprise for you"

Tech Demo for FF7 PS4 plays Everyone goes crazy and chaos breaks out at the Sony Keynote resulting in Adam Boyes bringing out a hungry Dave Lang.

Thirteen flew over the cuckoo's nest
The news is more about their new approach to delivering the right game to the right audience more than KH and FF's talk. And I like what I'm reading there. I really hope they go back at reading the market better, streamlining everythere is something that killed Hitman and many other series.

Matsuda-san also admitted that Square Enix may have been too focused on globalizing its target, losing focus on who they were making games for. He brought Hitman Absolution as an example for 2013. The game was created with the idea of having a wider appeal and gain popularity with new users, however best part of the Hitman games is that they are very hardcore games, and many fans were frustrated when focus on that was lost, causing the Absolution to struggle with Sales.
THIS. Them understanding that westerners buy Japanese games not in spite of their uniqueness, but partially because of it, is so important. This is what SE has been screwing up for the entire 7th gen. This is why FF XIII sucked; they said several times that they wanted it to be popular abroad, and were looking at western games to inform key design decisions.

I can only hope that this heralds a return to the glory-days of old for Final Fantasy.

I am genuinely excited.
Kingdom hearts never disappointed.
Final Fantasy getting a new chapter after the mediocre XIII

"Hello, we would like to share that Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III will be coming as soon as possible. Please anticipate more news soon, thank you."

It practically says "We're considering".
Why do they need to 'consider' if they are going to show their two of the biggest games there or not. Especially since Nomura promised multiple times that he will no longer starve the fans for new FF XV info, and then it has been more than a year now without any proper reveal.

Japanese businesses are very wary about making promises they won't be able to keep.
...You can't fault them for that.

I just hope the entire conference is not a shooter-fest. I need some RPG/JRPG there as well.

No more Destiny, Planetside 2, Call of Duty, Battlefield please.

I guarantee you Destiny will have a huge E3 blowout, and at the Sony conference no doubt as they have a marketing/exclusive content deal.
