Bei Technikfragen Tech-Nick fragen

I just hope that I can use my PS3 save data

Edit:

Leute, nochmal zum #GTAV Release: Et sind nur Gerüchte. Die Branche weiß wohl von nix. Ich bleib aber für euch dran, klare Sache.

Seems like he knows nothing at all

Whey is it never anyone we actually know of saying this stuff? Two months out and zero mention of it from a reliable, known source?

Didn't those Portuguese and Swedish or whichever retailers also put it on June?

Yes, and Thuway said just before E3 which is just before the same timeframe.

Plus as someone posted above, it seems like they're chasing Watchdogs after making them move their release date back.

"Guys, again about the GTAV release. It's just rumors. The industry apparently knows about nothing. But I'm keeping an eye on it for you, sure thing"

Case closed.

Lol, Saturn and Mediamarkt are nothing but hype-factories.

Doubt they really know anything.

I don't really like either of them, but- yes, big retailers know a lot of things. Remember those Tweets from Gamestop Execs after being given presentations for upcoming games? That is not uncommon. They also get dates early to line up promotions and inventory space- just think of all the release date announcements (or even whole game announcements) that were previously leaked by a retailer...

Is that a good idea? Most will have already played the game and many will be playing watch dogs then.

I'd rather they release in the fall with dlc.

These execs don't handle the company twitter account.

If it is indeed June then it is kind of weird how late they are announcing it. Surely the ps360 versions have sold enough copies
by now.

I would absolutely double dip for GTA V on PC. Imagine GTA Online with the modding community...fuck, they can try and make their own heists and have it out faster than Rockstar can.

I do not doubt the rumor, but is it really June? I think perhaps that may be just an estimate, and the retailer tweeted as fact. Although I could be wrong. Maybe R* has been developing it wanting to reveal it in May. Seems a bit silly though...

I doubt we'll see an XBOX One and PS4 version that soon. The PC version in June seems very possible, but both the XBOX One and PS4 seems unlikely to me.

True- but they probably also do not personally upload the database entries for games that regularly appear to early ;) And there is a big difference between getting a personal demo of a game from a dev (exec), or simply knowing about a game's existence, or a date from some internal communication.

But right now the SaturnDE account is being managed by some dude who looks like Zach Galifianakis and knows nothing more than the regular GAF visitor if his previous tweets and answers to others are any indication

Do the higher ups have some secret info? Probably; but Tech-Nick isn't even a real person :lol

There should be some sort of system that allows people to release time-lapsed rage in the event the rumours and reports turn out to be wrong. Time-released rage tweets or something - tomorrows rage, today! For example I'd draft up the tweet now then submit it to someone with their finger on the button ready to release if they're wrong. By the time we find out if these claims are true, the anger has subsided.

Or maybe I have too much time on my hands..

As far as I am concerned, all of these reports are bullshit. It's just to draw attention to the retailer or site in question. The last one before this said March and naturally that passed by.

I don't doubt that there will be a PC GTAV along with the consoles but all of this is just pointless. They will wait till they can get the biggest sum of consumers purchasing and in the financial quarter that best suits them

I am not saying that he has to know, and it is 100% correct- I don't know if he is or not. I am merely pointing out two hilarious cliches that always give me a good laugh when I see them online:

1. "Retailers don't know about unannounced games". Yes, they totally do. And there are countless examples of a retailer jumping the gun on new games, or release dates.

2. "The social media guy knows nothing" Doesn't have to be true at all, but can depend very much on the company. I can say from experience that in some companies, you will get a lot of info, and be very much in the loop on what your employer is doing and developing.
