Konami Digital Entertainment B.V will soon unleash the ultimate horror double bill for PlayStation®Vita with Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories set for release via the PlayStation®Network service. Release date will be announced shortly.

Almost posted a thread about this, but, to me, it reads like they're just putting the PSP versions on the Vita PSP store, rather than updates with trophies or anything. Unless I'm reading it wrong?

When are we going to get Suikoden 2 on PSN Konami?

Yes, basically a PSN release of the PSP version of the game for the Vita.

Shattered Memories? Awesome! The best SH game in a long while. Loved the psychoanalysis stuff.

Edit: oh, the PSP versions? Well that's ok. SM's PSP version was decent, camera remapping to right stick will help.

So these are just PSP isos, right? Give us Suikoden 2 gosh darn it. and maybe put the PS2 suikoden games out on something. S3 would be just fine and I've heard good things about S5 so pretty pleaseeee.

Well, the PSP version of Origins is great. Shattered Memories on the other hand...

Well, origins was a PSP game first before being ported to the PS2 so that would make sense.

They most probably are the PSP versions. Still, it's nice to finally get PSN versions of UMD only games.

If only Square Enix would follow...

Silent Hill: Shattered Memories was great! I was surprised to see Silent Hill take a much more Adventure game route than an action game route, and it actually worked IMO.

Hopefully, this will get more people to try it out, and we might get a Shattered Memories 2.

I also played the game in PSP, and I thought it ran great. It looked amazing for a PSP game.

Got really excited for a second thinking about a Shattered Memories Vita port. I guess an ISO dump is better than nothing. This was one of the best games on the Wii.

Shattered Memories is OK I guess. I've only played the Wii version which performed really well due to how well the pointer was implemented.

Origins is an unscary hot mess.

Thank you for posting this fellow GAFfer. I never tried any of these because I never had a PSP but I hope I can try them now.

I would prefer a physical release like a Sly Collection/God of War Collection since free space is getting more rare on my little memory card. It's going to be digital only, correct? Either way, I'm very curious!

I enjoyed Shattered Memories on my PSP Go. Will my digital purchase carry over?

If it's just the PSP versions, it should. All of the games I bought on my PSP Go (that are on the Vita store) were free to download on Vita.

That being said, this brings up something I've wondered about for a while. I remember when the Vita came out, there were PS Blog posts about the latest PSP game batch dumps on the Vita store, but, that was very short-lived. Some games still aren't there, most notably (for me, anyway) Gran Turismo and Metal Gear Solid.

Sounds like just the PSP versions. They don't list any Vita enhancements or anything.

Are they not already on PSN? Or are they just now becoming playable on Vita?

Fuck, I got really excited there, I thought they were remastered versions. Still, I always wanted to play Origins on the Vita, and now I can.

As for Shattered Memories, if you ain't playing that certified masterpiece on the Wii, you're playing it wrong. Sorry, but you are.

Shattered Memories was outstanding on Wii, but I don't know how the PSP version compares. It's more about the story and subtext for me than controls or whatever was wrong with the PSP version.

Best use of the Wiimote, period.

I still need to play through Shattered Memories. I've had it since launch but it got lost in a sea of other games and I never went back to it. Silent Hill as a series for me is something that I need to get into...I would have loved to start with the HD collection but we know how that turned out.

WARNING: Potential spoilers.

Skip to 2:25 and you'll see that the first enemy Harry encounters doesn't even show up on the PS2/PSP versions. Instead Harry just pretends to get scared and runs away.

ONLY play Silent Hill Memories on Wii, the other ports are trash. It's easily the best Silent Hill game outside the original trilogy. (Silent Hill 1/2/3)
