Oh right, I was at an arcade the other day that had a corner with a bunch of older fighting games, and the only reason one of them caught my eye was because I noticed the credits on the anime-style attract mode intro included the name SHOJI KAWAMORI.

At first you had my curiosity. Now you have my attention.

Chaika - Episode 4
Outsourced episode, looked pretty bad at times, mostly in the first half. The adaptation is kinda interesting in what they choose to keep and what they omit and change though. The back story in this episode was supposed to be much darker, but what they've done with it feels kinda like a Disney version. Not that I really mind though, since there are tons of try hard grimdark 2edgy4me LN stuff out there anyway. Can't wait for the Scrapped Princess vibes to keep building. Lol.

Lotta tension being built up here. Something massive is about to happen and it's gonna happen soon. I've been told that at the halfway point, things don't stop happening for the first season, so I'm hyped. And I can definitely see some huge consequences coming up after how the resolution to the conflict from the last two episodes went.
Dis gon be good. I'm more into this show than I thought I'd be.

10's wedding hijinks and 11's focus on Mayumi and Benibara both felt like the show getting all the comedy out of its system before the major tone shift that occurred about halfway through episode 12. Even the title card and the eyecatch were different. Good on the staff for that, they would've felt too whimsical otherwise. I did appreciate the whimsy, especially with Mayumi. I know she's the origin of the "A flat chest is a status symbol!" meme, before Konata quoted it and everyone mimicked her version instead. Sia's date episode may have had panties as a focal point, but in Mayumi's half of episode 11, they were felt by their absence. Definitely the lewdest episode of what has otherwise not been too lewd of a series. A few peeks down the cleavage here and there, but that's almost normal.
And then comes 12. So Primula is
Feels like I'm at the tip of the iceberg here (pun not intended) for the reason this show got on The List. It's not a super huge departure from what's come before, and the show remains charming in its simple visual novel-ness. But that change of eyecatch signifies that we'll be doing this Da Capo style. Reel them in with some comedy and then go full-blown drama.

Yukiatsu is still stuck in the past, obsessed with Menma and looking for closure, yet he's extremely jealous of Jintan for being able to see Menma. He wants to hook up with Anaru, who still loves Jintan and is jealous of the attention he spends on Menma. Meanwhile, Tsuruko obviously wants to be with Yukiatsu, yet witnesses him trying to proposition Anaru. And to top it all off, now Jintan realizes that he's still in love with Menma, and doesn't want her to leave.

I don't see how that would make the process easier. (maybe if it was built into the player but at that point you are making things less flexible.)

Melody of oblivion is watchable ... but if you watch you probably won't be able to make sense of several episode , nor had a sense of what the show is about or where the show is going for a big chunk of episodes.
There will come a point where you'll think "i get it ! this is what this show is about" and then the last episode will come and will COMPLETELY shit on that notion
Melody of oblivion is set in a dystopian world where humanity is controlled by ..well things ..( i'll just call them "ennemies" ) and warriors of melos are travelling all around trying to fight the good fight to make things less oppressive. You follow the point of view of a new warrior ( forgot the name ) and things happens.
Melody of oblivion is not "that" bad , it's just bland.If you manage to reach the last episode , you'll see the masterfull WTF last arc and the superb troll ending.
Because of the last arc and that ending i can't hate this anime , but i can't recommand it either , unless you want an anime like nothing else that barely managed to hold itself from imploding in 26 episodes.

There's Kurenai's disgusting ending with its whole "child abuse is okay if a minor goes along with it" thing. It's one of the worst and most offensive endings I've ever seen in fiction.

Yep, it was pretty bittersweet. I actually thought ep 10 build up was more emotional because it wasn't so, I guess, grandiose. Still, manly tears were shed at the end.
I'm just glad she was actually a ghost and not a figment of Jintans imagination. That would have been absolutely terrible.
Now go watch the movie!
