In campaign mode, you fight opponents until you reach a boss. You then have to get the boss health down to zero and you will unlock stuff tied to that boss, usually a costume, colours and a bunch of customisation items for taunts and win screens. There are also power ups that you can enable before a fight, these do things like regen your meter and other stuff, I was playing in japanese so I don't know many. Then there are also events that popup before or after a round. Some do damage to the round health, like Stroheim, some do damage to boss health like FF and some will make sure your next round is the boss, like the rich beggar from Part 3 or the Janken kid.

Ah, also there's a "double battery" strategy (thanks to the person who discovered it)

After drawing Ken or the Informant and paying them off/winning RPS, you're given a screen to choose which boss you want to fight.
That's the screen you want to idle on the first time. There's no time limit at this point. After selecting them and having them pop up, with the option to fight or use a support item, the 2 minutes start counting down and it'll show in the red text. It doesn't matter whether you use 9 or 10 charges.

Finish the fight and search again for the same boss, you'll be at the battery screen. That's the screen you want to idle on the second time. The 2 minute timer will eventually count down to 0 minutes, but it won't matter since you'll have depleted most of the boss' HP anyway.

Heck yeah, got my copy today (2 days on standard free shipping? You can awesome sometimes, Amazon). Also noticed on the top on the main menu, it stated that Campaign Pack 2 will be out on May 13th. Wonder if we'll get another DLC on that day as well or we'll also get one next week.

Edit: WOW. With the 100,000G from the demo, I was able to buy every single 2D artwork, 3D model, AND BGM, with enough to buy up to Jolyne's voice 2....well, the stuff for all the characters that're available at the moment.

I'm also thinking the mods probably won't be too happy if we keep de-railing this thread with a game like that, should be saved for the JoJo Community Thread imo.

Getting things back on track, I'm slowly getting a better feel for this game---like, I'm not good at Fighting Games, but I'm doing much better in this than, say, SFIV or Tekken Tag Tournament II. Maybe it's because I have more attachment to the characters and thus am more willing to learn them?

Played through Part 6's Story Mode last night, man, it's pretty weak with only three Stone Ocean characters, only two of which appear. But I guess giving Hermes a fight would be a bit difficult, as I don't remember any of her opponents really working well for a fighting game, like Sports Max's invisible zombies just wouldn't work.

Pucchi was pretty difficult, he always seemed to use his grab on me whenever I got close. Eventually I cheated to beat him using the Pearl Jam item which restored my health. Really worked well for the Made in Heaven fight, as you could force a time-out easily since the time accelerated. Just hit him with an Easy Beat, and then run away for the rest of the match.

Only have Part 1 and 2 left to do so I can unlock Josuke.
