Edit:
Ah yeah. Not including the source now, huh? Very classy, NE, very classy! It's not like anyone would think YOU were the actual source, hmmm? ;)

Here's the original source, for those interested (it was actually posted on GAF a few days ago) : source!

And by the way, can't be anything Advance Wars related because it's probably Intelligent Systems holding the trademark (they do for Fire Emblem, at least).

Nintendo registered a series of “Advance” trademarks in Japan last month. “Advance”, “Advance Series”, “Advance Touch”, and “Advance Push” were all filed for on April 4.
The hype train is real.

So, yeah. This E3 has so much potential (though this is probably for a little later).

It's time for Advance Wars 3DS. Dual Strike was my most played DS game, and the series has been dormant for years.

It hurts my soul not to see a "Wars" anywhere in that post.

I thought that at first, but I'm guessing they've already got a trademark for that. Or even if they don't isn't it Famicom Wars in Japan? The US Trademark for Advance Wars is still alive.

I feel really dumb, but... what were the trademarks filed for? Don't you usually need to have at least some kind of generic product description when you file a trademark?

I think you just have to declare what generic type of product/usage you plan on using it for, but it might be different in Japan. You don't have to describe the product itself.

Next Nintendo handheld with a touch screen and touch pads in the back so you can touch things in "3D". Advanced Touch Technology.

That was what I meant, they would at the very least have to attach it to 'computer game software' or 'computer interactive hardware' or something, right? Do we know what they attached these ones to yet?

No idea, I have no idea how to search Japanese trademarks properly and I've heard the system is pretty bad to do so. Which is why I'm confused people can always find these.

Could be a moniker for HD Ports/initiative? Like Super Mario Galaxy Advance or some crap? It's probably nothing but it could be everything! Hype.
