Thanks for fixing my awkwardly worded title, Nirolak!
I also added comparison screenshots, though the upgrade appears to be merely that the iOS version is rendered at a higher resolution.

I added controller to the title since people seem to have issue seeing that one.

Why?

What's wrong with this release?

It even supports controllers.

Using a controller makes it not portable though, and MH is most popular when it's portable apparently.
Why hasn't this phone/gaming device dilemma been solved yet.

I can understand how people are and will be surprised, but I think this fits in with Capcom's modus operandi. It's a big enough series that we can consider it to have casual appeal. It'll take a few years, but I think that we'll soon reach a point where the new entries will be on mobile.

This will sell millions overnight. Literally every single person here is glued to their smartphone constantly.

Combine that with large 4g coverage and this title will do insanely well.

I'm gonna stick to my MH4, though. I put too many hours into Freedom Unite and have seen most of what the game has to offer.

Surprising, yet not really. I had assumed they would stop at Dynamic Hunting, but this makes sense given their track record of increasingly feature-complete mobile ports.

A cell phone and a small controller is about as portable as a 3DS or Vita.

The game can be played with just the screen when a controller isn't available, but it's also worth noting that one of the "flagship" controllers being promoted with this and other games (FFIV) is actually portable since it houses the iPhone in it.

Haha, oh you are so sly Capcom, backstabbing Sony then Nintendo like that. The sales of this game should be fun. If this becomes a success, I don't even want to imagine MH5.

I understand that this is just a business making money, but I couldn't resist.

I'm fairly certain that if SE gets away with selling their ports of ports for around the same amount of money and get to the top of the paid app charts this will too.

It's not ideal.

Also don't forget that the F2P, presumably designed ground up for touch devices, Monster Hunter Smart is still coming out for iDevices sometime this year as well.

Fairly obvious, but looks like this has the targeting and touchscreen icons from the 3DS versions. As opposed to just being a PSP port with virtual buttons.

So Capcom really does hate the Vita? lol

In order to hate it, they'd have to care first.
