Ratchet and Clank movie comes in 2015 so logically there should be a game coming that year.

That means an E3 or Gamescom reveal

We don't have the digital numbers to be fair and it was pretty cheap on PSN over here anyway.

The movie means Sony still believe in the franchise. If they adjust the budgets to be a half million seller then they lose nothing.

Even with all the recent layouts, game's been in developement for quite a lot of time, i can't believe they'll have nothing more substantial than a 3 min trailer.

Glad to hear you are enjoying it. People tend to get onto Sony for publishing shooters and action games, but that is what tends to sell. When they try to do something unique (Puppeteer or Tearaway), the games barely sell enough to cover the budget.

Really the people complaining about innovation need to actually buy the innovative games Sony is publishing. I understand Sony's plans though. Uncharted 3 sold 6 million, so it makes sense Uncharted 4 is being made. GoW is selling over a million, so God of War 4 is going to be made. Sony is doing sequels because that is what is selling.

I figure gamers on NeoGAF are not the issue. It is more the general Playstation consumer. It would be interesting to see how many games failed because people had no clue about them or because there was no interest. If I have to give Nintendo credit, they at least make you aware of their games.

Well, there's no evidence, but given that flOw and Flower got ported over, it'd be insane if Journey didn't.

Why do these money-hat rumors remain? I truly doubt Microsoft is going to be able to do that from the position that they are in. They had a better chance of buying up exclusives before this gap occurred. Sony's worldwide lead is growing and publishers are cognizant of this. The Xbox division isn't made out of money, MS as a whole is. The Xbox division can't afford to buy everything that is available.

This is funny because last generation MS never really talked about anything in advance about upcoming games. Their whole "under promise and over deliver" thing. Some people were ok with that. Sony was the one who showed a lot of stuff early. This gen MS are talkative about everything and people assume they have more games. Sony keeps everything quite this time and people think they have no games and are just riding the success of the PS4.

I don't think Sony has to worry about any exclusive deals with Japanese developers from MS. It didn't work for them with the 360 so I see why it would be such a big deal now.

They don't have to worry about western deals either. Titanfall, the biggest and best game ever according to all the press, had zero impact on PS4's sales.
