Sooo Sony better announce some really good games because if i wasn't such a stupid man who wants all the consoles, i think i would pick an Xbox One over the PS4, especially if a price drop is announced next month (which is likely), and I suppose i'm not alone ?

The whole PS4 hype for absolutely nothing makes me feel bad, Sony does nothing and shows nothing and yet they are heroes because they're some bucks cheaper. Maybe it's just me.
rofl, yeah whatever.....
Sell your PS4 and get a Xbone instead.
Seems like it's a better fit for you.

Woot!
Nicely done ^_^

Either your right and they are all Fanboy dreams, or MS will continue to invest into exclusives on XB1. Since they know they cannot compete on a power level, they might as well have more exclusive games, right? It's also comments like the below from Phil that are fueling the rumor mill:

As you said though, it's all about how much money they pay and how much the pub. will require to keep in as a timed exclusive or full exclusive when they are lagging behind in sales as they are though.... Only time will tell I guess.

There's a big difference between investing in exclusives ( which all 3 companies are doing, shocker!) and pulling out gigatons like "Fallout 4 exclusive, Red Dead exclusive, Resident Evil exclusive, DQ exclusive."

Even Titanfall, was a special case scenario that they benefitted due to Respawn's own issues that prevented them from finishing the game with their original budget. Had that not happened, all MS would have had was timed exclusive for PvZ : GW and Peggle 2, neither of which are mega-franchise tier games.

Phil Spencer has said a lot of things. And he will deliver. But just because he's 3x louder than all of Sony/Nintendo's executives combined, does not somehow make his words larger than they actually are. I for one, do not take Shuhei Yoshida's silence as a sign of weakness.

Among all the PS4 games already announced, Uncharted is the only one that could possibly be for me.

Gravity Rush 2 being the one on Vita, but i doubt we'll see it at E3.

As of now you're absolutely right,Sony only has the price advantage as their USP but they do have first party games in the pipeline which they'll show at E3 possibly....for 2015 or 2016 IDK

@Bundy I have both consoles man...

@On Demand Yeah PS3 was a better console than the 360 no question about that. But i'm not in the ship of "it happened so it will obviously happen again". MS invested a ton of cash to create studios and buy exclusives while Sony has been destroying studios over the last few years (I will never forgive them for Studio Liverpool) and lately the WWS output in terms of games disappointed me. GOW Ascension was shit, and I loved God of War 3, Beyond Two Souls was shit, and I liked Heavy Rain, Puppeteer was ok but I already forgot it, Killzone & Knack = Lol, Driveclub seems like fucking garbage, and I liked Motorstorm...

There are some exceptions (Tearaway or Infamous are good) but I feel like the quality is collapsing.

I hope all those projects were just PS3-PS4 generation leap shit and that they've got bigger, better games coming despite all the jobs lost lately. I'm not like "Sony is dead" you know, but shit, show me the games !

So, E3 2014 is where shit HAS to get real.

Plus, Naughty God.

Sounds like Microsoft PR. You'd fit in well with Albert and the bunch. :)

Absolutely nothing?

Why does DriveClub look like garbage. Amazing graphics, tons of tracks and cars, a deep and never before done social component with clubs, a massive amount of talent from ex PGR team. I'm not even into racers but it looks solid at the very least.

Killzone SF was definitley not 'lol' whatever that means. The multiplayer wasn't for me but was pretty decent and has a strong following, the single player was just average but technically amazing. Shooting was highly satisfying.

Knack was a fun action platformer and great in co-op. Nothing amazing but again not terrible and was a rushed launch game.

God of War Ascension wasn't as well done as GOW3 but was still pretty damn good.
Although I may agree with you on Beyond, a bit of a let down compared to Heavy Rain.

Then as you say games like Infamous SS and Tearaway were excellent. The Last of Us released last year and was one of the best games of the last gen.

Sony's output has overall been as strong as always and definitely not 'shit' (to quote you). Seems like you are being a bit unfair there.

Well you have my opinion i have mine, "shit" may be a little harsh for some games but i really disliked them.

I thought maybe that's just me who doesn't like anything anymore but i played some older Sony games and i still love them. Maybe new Sony is just not for me I don't know.

Soo we'll see what they bring at E3. A great Uncharted and they're already half redeemed for me you know.

Is this the console war equivalent of "I'm not racist, I even have a black friend"?

Lol, that's not because i don't like Sony output lately that I'm an Xbox fanboy. Man, i just got a 360 like 2 years ago and it's like one of my worst consoles ever.

MS is investing, surely not everything they show will be great but they show things and i'm interested. That's all, no "MS-love" or "Sony-hate" here, just my honest opinion about things right now.

Might very well change after E3.

Edit: Oh, maybe I should have edited my post above to add that, sorry if double posts aren't liked here.

Terms like lol, shit and garbage are definitely unnecessary. I've been gaming for over 20 years now and played my fair share of legitimately terrible games. None of the games you mention deserve to be tarnished with that brush.
Also I can't think of many games MS have released in the past few years that were any better - Gears 3, TitanFall (maybe, haven't played it but hear good things)… Forza? If anything Nintendo seems to be the only of the big 3 putting out consistently great 'pure' gameplay experiences - unfortunately from the same franchises over and over.

Anyway, opinions I suppose...

I don't think Sony has to worry about any exclusive deals with Japanese developers from MS. It didn't work for them with the 360 so I see why it would be such a big deal now.

They don't have to worry about western deals either. Titanfall, the biggest and best game ever according to all the press, had zero impact on PS4's sales.

- It didn't work out the best for them in boosting sales for 360, but it did make an impact on PS3 not getting games like Star Ocean4 until much later or other JRPGs not going onto PS3 at all like the deal MS made with Mistwalker for Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, or even The Last Remnant. Even another Tales of Vesperia incident would make big waves right now. Money-hats or not, those types of exclusives being announced again would be big.

Definately not weakness, but they really need to deliver at E3 to keep the buzz alive for the console. They whole "Indiestation4" and "PS4 has no games" notion is a little tiring at times, but it is building Infamous helps a little bit, but fans want more. Fallout and Red Dead Redemtion definately won't be exclusive, DQ is pretty much destined to handhelds thanks to Japan's obsession with 3DS and who knows what hapens with RE... that may be the wild card here...

For the "shit" thing, i think definition of shit in gaming has changed a lot as really awful, unplayable games are rare nowadays. Beyond is modern shit for me, really. A narrative disaster, poor writing with a whole pack of clichés, a boring character (no, crying one scene out of two doesn't make a character lovable, it just bored me and I love Ellen Page) etc, really hated it. It's nice, still. But i get your point.

And for MS I didn't mean their output was any better lately, not at all !
I'm just saying that what they're showing (and it could be absolute garbage at the end of the day) has me more interested than what Sony is showing.
Sony is disappointing me because I once loved their games. MS is surprising me because I never really cared about them before this generation. That's essentially what i'm trying to say.

Finally about Nintendo, well their games are following the same formula over and over, but they're great games over and over so I don't see the problem.
We can thank Sony for trying new IPs still, I agree.

Seeing how the console market is changing in Japan, I think they'll only moneyhat Japanese developers / games that has some Western appeal. I don't see them heavily investing in JRPGs after the homeconsole decline and how bad their strategy worked last time.

After this, be sure Sony would have an amazing E3 conference. They need to hype as many people as posible to counteract the latest Microsoft moves.

And I don't really see such a big difference between Sony and Microsoft game line-up. One had Plants vs Zombies and Titanfall. The other had Infamous, MLB, FFXIV and Dynasty Warriors.
