Compare the first 6 months of the current gen and previous. Console sales thanks to better manufacturing are great over 100% increase. Despite all those extra units software sales only increased 40%.
I know the NPD does not track digital I still say people here over rate digital sales of full retail games. Even if you give a 20% bump for digital it is still way off from the start of last generation. Last generation also came with sticker shock of a 10 dollar increase in games.

It's a 4 week period ending whenever they count the end of the week.

Alright here is a question for you, did you think it was desperation when Sony dropped the PS3 price to match the 360 last gen?
What do you expect these companies to do? they want to sell their product. Your understanding of desperation is pretty terrible. With that said, they should have made the Kinect bundle $450 and without $379.

Release date for both titles were on May 2nd.
It's been a slow month. PS4 sales for April didn't set the world on fire either, let's keep things in perspective.

My thoughts exactly. Infamous doesn't chart in April but Titanfall does (well it has PC and Xbox 360 launch but still)
Also, what's with all the lego games charting? lol

So the 41k (Kirby) & 17k (Mario Golf) #'s aren't too bad, considering they were released the day before tracking ended (5/2).
That's decent for day 1 sales (3DS).
Less than 4k I believe.

i am going to assume no new stock came in for vita 1000 and that retailers were waiting for the new model. before anyone jumps on me i understand it ain't gonna do better numbers if there was stock but just not this horrible.
