Watch_Dogs |OT| PS4 would probably melt trying to do this

fps drops to like 1-10 all the time with nvidia cards, amd users say its great

Woah, that's pretty backwards from how it normally turns out, especially for a game pimped so hard by NVidia.

I think they must have some more drivers close to ready and will be done by real release, but we are usually waiting on AMD drivers. Glad to AMD have improved somewhat!

I've got 4gb cards, though I wasnt expecting this much lag. I'll assume its just sli/lack of vram.

Ill get to resizing some screens in paint shortly. Trying to get some good shots set.

Dips due to constant loading from insufficient vram. At 4K Im seeing up to 4.5GBvram, and 14GB system ram (i dont even know why), WD exe pushing 3GB

Try one card instead of SLI to make sure there is no issue.

I swear the PC screenshots I've seen don't look as good as those official Nvidia screenshots....

Because they'll be downsampled as well as completely maxed out. Wouldn't be shocked if they're seeing sub 30fps framerates running the game like those shots.

So, does everyone that plays on PC atm rely on the pirated version or are you able to download and play the game on Uplay already?

I've pre-ordered on Steam but I just got a message from someone telling me a store quite close by is selling the game retail already (console and PC) - so Id cancel Steam and go pick it up there if the key already works.

Looks like an early PS360 game to me.
If there are not bullshots, this is excellent news for PC gamers
Well, that kind of image quality can certainly be achieved on the PC but it's not a realistic representation of what most people will be able to play. Looking at that last shot, I'm not sure even a 780ti could achieve that level of quality at a consistent, high frame-rate.

I'll try and get some better ones now.

I don't see any cars like these:

from the trailer.

Are all the cars as bad as those from the screenshots?

Edit: and in the pictures it looks like the car you are driving is actually floating above the road.

These cars in the gif look so good. For shame :(

You should take screens of sunsets/rises and nights. Clearly all the effort went into those tods as midday lighting looks bland as hell.

Oh, for anyone watching the streams, were there any Assassins Creed style eavesdropping missions?

I think that's more of a multiplayer game mode now where you try and trail other players without being spotted.

The trees not casting shadows unless you are very close to them makes the area outside of the city look like crap.

Ubisoft let it get out of control and here we are days away from release and people are still talking about it. Seems like an absolute marketing failure.
Ubisoft didn't let it get out of control at all, they released beautiful trailer after beauitful trailer only for certain people to analyze every frame to cherry pick out shots that don't look as good as others and say "see downgrade." It's ridiculous at this point.

Gonna ask this again

So, does everyone that plays on PC atm rely on the pirated version or are you able to download and play the game on Uplay already if you have a retail copy/key?

And I'll also ask another question again from a page or two ago:

How are the kb&m controls?

They needed to show a 10 min walkthrough of the game on PS4 and PC so we know the difference or something. Not trailers. Expecially when half the trailers still don't represent the game! See the car.gif that someone posted above

They did let it get out of control because they never really addressed it? And it still permeates in the discussion of the game up to right now? It's Ubisoft's job to control the image of their game (marketing!) and they did a shitty job. Don't be a game industry mark on this.

If this is a maxed out shot, I can't blame them for being disappointed after all the hype (right click, view image for fullscreen):

They released multiple walkthroughs that specifically showed off the gameplay and world.

They did address it by confirming that the ps4 version=high settings on pc. And last time I checked, they spent way more time talking about the GAMEPLAY in nearly every trailer and walkthrough they released. That's exactly what I want to hear about during the majority of trailers and advertisements.
