I'm jealous that you're potentially a dual citizen.

I'd give up my entire game catalogue to travel to the UK and see London. Dat Accent...

I always wondered why Americans are fascinated with the British accent. I know my American friend at university was fascinated by mine, because I have a typically pronounced one.

PG County, Maryland - The ghetto part (near DC). The goal is to get a job out of college and move to a better area.

We associate the accent with the posh, sophisticated lifestyles of the royal family, although I can't speak for every American and that is partially true.

I personally think that the British accent and the Irish/Scottish accents are sexy and as such they are a turn on to me.

I guess I should move to the USA then ;) I'm not too fond of strong Irish accents, I can bear the odd Scottish one.

Amman, Jordan

The most peaceful, liberal, and expensive* place in the Middle East.

*in relation to average per capita income

Used to be considered a small ass city, now a melting pot of 3 million+ people from all over the region and the world.

The Pope arrived here today.

Lived in Amman for eight weeks. Loved it!

What's it like? I would love to live there specifically.
Hipsters.
It's beautiful though. A little wet and windy, but it's like a mini middle earth. The scene is very insular, it's a college town so you have a mix of tons of college hipsters who come and go with some families that have been here for generations. Everybody's very chill and hippie-ish, and definitely lives up to the motto "city of subdued excitement." It's easy to live well if you have money, cheaply if you're broke, without having the obvious split between rich and poor areas. All the buildings are older and thus adorable. I don't want to live here forever but I'm enjoying it a lot. :)
