By the way, now that we're talking about The Witcher, what does the 3 barometers in the top left corner mean? I know the tutorial explains about Vitality and Endurance but I can't figure out, what the bottom bar represents.

And every time I eat or drink nothing really happens. Why?

So how was the PC port of Spec Ops PC?
I ask because yager is doing Dead Island 2, so im already assuming it wont be a technical mess like with techland.

Also Dead Island 2 is my favorite reveal for a new game at E3. Thag trailer was great and I hope the game keeps that tone all the way through.

The second one is about 50% longer if you plan to not guess anything.
Puzzles are a bit more difficult, but still as good as in the original. If you liked the first one, you'll like the second as well.

It was pretty decent for me. Can't recall any problems. Though I also can't recall what options there were.

I like that there's also a Ubi sale on GMG, but they don't even bother to put up banners for it coz Uplay

Well Spec Ops ran on Unreal Engine 3 so usual PC port as in not too much extra other than some tailoring with a few settings and enhance a few things via injectors but solid none the less.

Techland's Chrome Engine has had some interesting quibbles with pretty much every game using it (the latest game using it CoJ: Gunslinger seems fine now after the stuttering at launch).

Worth noting to keep an eye on.

I thought the mechanics were all pretty well explained during the starting section, but if there's anything you're not sure on check the game manual in the installation directory.

I didn't understand much of the game until during chapter 2. Maybe it was later in the game...

That's pretty funny, I love the digs Rockstar takes at other games.

Also, the hidden package from vice city is on that building under the sign <3
When I first noticed that back in whenever san andreas came out I freaked out, haha

I remember True Crime also making fun of GTA. I think there was a billboard or a spoken line about remote controlled vehicles that was referencing GTA

No, right now there's only one Steam store sub (the other two are probably for retail keys) and that isn't locked but they could easily add locked ones before preorder starts.

Yeah, they're just the default subs that Steam generates when you upload an app. The first is intended for developers, the second is intended for the public and can be used on the store and with retail keys (combining the two wasn't possible previously), and the third is intended for external beta testing.

(Lazily copied from the other forum I occasionally post on.)

Edit: I just realised I have more PMs on GAF than pieces of DLC on Steam.

Could someone kindly point me to any information we have on the new "Mysterious" cards?

I made 40+ badges last night (almost got to level 60). Feels good, but now I have a bunch of those cards.

Is the right strategy to hold them until we know what they can make at the summer sale and then dump them on the market?

The prices will probably drop hard once the sale starts, since there will be multiple ways to get them for free (voting, buying games) and the rewards for crafting won't be too exciting. That's what happened the last two times.

When the sale starts we will get those cards for buying games, voting and crafting. Maybe some other activities. That measn the prices will tumble. Or Valve thinks of something new and you get DLC/games (edit: forgot we got some f2p stuff last time but yeah, mostly wasn't worth much) for crafting summer sale badges and the prices will explode.

If it's anything like the last sale, you can craft them, for crafting a badge you get: sale background, emote and some item for a game (MMO mostly), you can sell some of those items (most actually), and you get regular xp for crafting badges.
Keep in mind that most items are not worth the price of even couple of cards you used to craft that badge.
It depends on what you want, you can sell cards and make some money back, or you can expect to get rarer items and sell them as well as getting those levels.

edited: forgot most important thing, last sale cards prices were really jumpy, so about being 100% sure that they will drop, there is no such assurance. But! If cards are to disappear when sale ends (and sale itself is good, meaning more people are getting cards) they will be cheaper later on.

Thanks. I thought last time at the beginning of the sale the price of the cards spiked for a few days as people were rushing to craft badges for the items. I was expecting something similar this time or maybe even more as I think Valve wants to make the crafting for items a bigger deal overall.

But yeah, I agree as the sale goes on the price begins to tumble and they are the cheapest on the last day.

Actually you are right. Last time when it was clear that crafting badges led to items that sold good and at good price too (at the start) prices of sale cards jumped up significantly... until item prices dropped.
But as we don't know what Valve has in mind this time, there is no knowing how it will go.

edited: card prices are already higher if compared to yesterday, jumpiness continues!

A bit off topic, but it looks like PC gamers will be getting Madden 15 this year. In the latest issue of game informer they have it listed as XB1, PS4, PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. Highly doubt that was a simple typo.

What kind of TF2 key price drop should I expect once the sale begins? They cost around $2.30 on the market currently (including the tax). I personally don't expect them to go lower than $2.10
