I see the headlines now: "OP in not calling Smash a fighting game controversy".

I'm going to say this was my subconscious fighting against the vote rigging by the Smash fans.

A lot of them listed Smash Bros for 3DS and Smash Bros for WiiU even though the OP was amended that a game on multiple platforms can't be listed twice.

And I would have gotten away with it too... ;-)

Aonuma: Zelda Wii U Trailer Wasn’t Just In-Engine, It was Actually Gameplay


43 Minutes of xenoblade gameplay.

Okay, you got me on Xenoblade. But I don't get how people can get so hyped for normal ass trailers for the other games. I know that Zelda was probably in-engine (same with Uncharted) but there's no telling how actual gameplay will look like.

I'd attribute that to people just being excited to see anything about the new Zelda and Uncharted. I don't blame them, though I wouldn't be in the same camp even if I liked either series.

IMO Splatoon should have a "Biggest Surprise" award, since it's the highest rated game we didn't know about before E3 started.

Nice list for the top 10. Well deserved looking at the quality of those titles. Zelda or Bloodborne could be the top of the hype and really well deserved based from what we saw at E3.

Weird that Witcher 3 was less mentioned than No Man's Sky. Thought it could be top 3 based on GAF hype alone.

The announcement that Zelda Wii U is an open world to me.

Uncharted 4 probably because of how good the trailer is, also the fact that it's ND and they're coming off of a TLOU good will.

I find categories weird because so many modern games are mixing stuff. Fighting and racing games are the last bastion of clearly defined boundaries so that's why I choose those.
