Game suddenly runs at sub 30FPS while before the update it was working just fine.
Not entirely sure what's going on - marked for death is great from what I've played so far though.

Hamlok over range still sucks even with 4 hit kills now because of the damage drop being way too much, starburst mod adds way too much kick to be useful outside of a hip fired burst because you ran into someone around a corner :(

xbox one on controller, no idea how that gun handles on pc.

I agree completely, Starburst does not make a good upgrade for this weapon.

I like the patch overall though. It is awesome to have all the emblems to unlock for someone OCD like myself.

Having to constantly reload even with extended mag is holy obnoxious. Carbine still dominates but is less fun to use than before.

Extended mag needs to be 35 rounds

I don't find the missing bullets too much of a problem, I usually run around with the silencer and been doing alright with it so far, but i'm spending more time trying out the other weapons to see if they are important to use now, I had more smg deaths then carbine tonight but that could be others testing out the smg buffs.

Have you all stopped to think that maybe the reason you don't win every single game is because matchmaking is BETTER? If you were winning 90% of your games matchmaking probably wasn't working right at that point.

That doesn't really excuse starting a game with stacked teams and never finding teammates to fill the team with missing players. That was a problem pre-patch too.

Exactly 90% of my games have had uneven teams it's stupid why are the matches even starting with an uneven player count? This update has been super frustrating for me.

Skill based matchmaking never works put me in a lobby with 12 players based on connection.

Had a really close call in War Games today:

Yeah I only had like 35 when the update hit so maybe if you had more then 5 gossers it gave you the emblem.

Ah ok that makes more sense

"A single-player campaign? I don't know. I think we want to hit whatever part of the brain it is that triggers that feeling of a single-player campaign," Zampella said in an interview with CVG.

"To me it would almost be a step backwards," Fukuda added. "Doing straight up single-player just feels a little bit to me like going back to what you know."

There was some effort put into the creation of a single-player campaign early in the process, but Fukuda said there was a "big brain shift amongst the team" as the development went on. "At first there was a lot of resistance to going multiplayer only, but once they saw the game they were like, 'Wow'," he said.

"There's nothing wrong with a single-player experience. They should exist and they do exist and I would work on one," Zampella added. "But doing one with this feels almost like taking a step backwards."

I have to say I'm really disappointed. I really enjoy my SP games. Even an arena with bots would be great ):

Agreed. That's one of the things we're still working on.

This should be better as of this patch, btw, but it's not going to account for some things (like large parties) yet.

So that one team steamrolls the other repeatedly, with the game making no effort to correct that?

Wow, what a better alternative.

Get better at the game I know playing solo I need to put up 100+ attrition points a game so that's what I do. It's not like these teams are close to balanced skill wise anyways. My point was skill based matchmaking doesn't work in the first place.

...none of what you said makes any sense.

Anyways, if the skill based matchmaking doesn't work, then you're at square one with Titanfall. At least the game is trying to make an effort to level out teammates.

Do you mean that being put in a worse team is somehow better?

What doesn't make sense the more variables matchmaking has to search for with the small player base the worse the connections are. There's really no excuse for not filling the lobbies before the game starts.

No wonder the community has died in the game. Also I'm not saying to not shuffle and balance teams but searching for similar skilled players when the community is so small doesn't seem to work especially if you are towards the top of the curve.

I've grown to like the random shuffling tonight, had a lot of good games just staying in one lobby. It's always good to get a chance to play with the people who just beat you. Yes it doesn't workout sometimes and did result in me getting paired with some pretty stacked teams but just waiting till the next lobby resulted in some good teams.

The game runs like butter now, no more dreading Lagoon due to the water! And the super fast load times is really catching me out, I keep tabbing out to browse the internet and the game has already started seconds later!

Finally no more wasting lobby time sorting through crap burn cards is the real star of the patch though!

I've not even tried marked for death yet, I hate gametypes were you have to rely on randoms in matchmaking so I imagine I'll have a hard time with this one.

Now, teams are rearranged just before the level loads, to further balance the teams' skill and player counts.
Is this in place yet? Sounds great to me...

edit: Custom titan OS voices... man I'm glad somebody at respawn gets the fun factor in this game

taking my shotty nerf like a man.

I feel like I should get back to the game to see if my loading time problems were fixed. That, and well, I have a feeling this game will move mostly to the hardcore once Fall arrives and the casual player base moves on to Destiny or whatever.

I have to say that I've felt bad for a lot of the teams I was going against, including my matches with Tawpgun.

Btw HelloMeow, I apologize for confusing you with the quick announcement I made on /r/titanfall.

Loading times have been improved for me on XB1, but who knows how long that will last. Some days are ok, others are terrible. Don't see it changing too much in this update if matchmaking 'improvement' is any indication.
what! no!

what! yes!

Don't forget the Explosive Punch burn card. I want to know how to get that card and get a chance to use it with a Stryder.

I'm glad you enlightened us as to why

I wonder if it'll be another "I don't have my jesus weapon to kill in .2 seconds anymore" reason.

If anything he should be dominating more he was a CAR player from the posts I've seen. Now the 101 has been nerfed he should be better.

The vanilla SMG is pretty awesome, and the G2A4 still feels a little under powered. Carbine still owns all, though. I like the idea of the new mode, but playing with randoms is not ideal.
Glad I started playing again.

What platform? XB1: ArkkAngel007. You're in the perfect place to get some Titanfall compadres. Will be on sometime around 9am-3pmEST.

And yes, that Carbine is still great. In fact, I think the changes have made me an even better player with it. Tighter bursts of fire and better awareness of my round count. I've been a terror with it and the B3 Wingman.

Btw, PSA: Use the map hack that you get when you are the mark in MFD.

I suffered the long loading time around late April and say screw it even after a month later as I got dropped in pretty late in a match.

So I uninstall Titanfall and with the recent 48 hours gamepass, I downloaded it again and here's the catch for me: By choosing different servers than my usual one (SEA and East Asia), it fixed my long loading times. Kinda bizarre but I can reproduce the current long loading time by playing at SEA server (nothing to do with player count as Attrition have healthy amount of players just that when the match countdown over, the long loading time kicks in).

Anyway still waiting for the update to finish download and will post my impression later.

I mainly play on PC, but I did double dip on the X1.

GT is dubz on3 on the X1.

Why not just make a lone wolf playlist? We've been saying this for a while - a lot of matchmaking woes will go away with that. Our community isn't large enough for more advance solutions.

The b3 wingman seems super inconsistent to me? Is it not hits can? I feel like my bullets never hit their target despite it being right on them. I love revolver sidearms

The shots go a bit to really random unless when you are ADS. When ADS, the shots are super accurate. 2 shots to kill gives you some room for mistake if you can quickly recover from a missed shot or your opponent panics.

It's not a perfect gun by any means, but I've been having a lot of success with it lately and love it more than the other two sidearms. I'll see if I can find the video that convinced me to give the weapon another chance after ditching it in Gen 1.

Edit: Here it is. The guy is a bit shoddy with it in some cases in the footage, making it seem more unwieldily than it actually is and in how he's describing it, but it's a good starting point to familiarize with the behavior of the weapon.

Auto pistol is my favorite too.

On another note, I still forget to use burn cards almost every single match:(

I love the Autopistol since it seems like the best way to finish off an opponent if you run out of ammo in your primary

That was my favorite for a little while after the...what was it, Gen 2 or Gen 3 challenge? That gun was also surprisingly accurate to mid range for what it was.

But I just love the versatility I get with the Wingman now that I'm familiar with the behavior of it. Close range it will kill in 1-2 shots, depending on prior inflicted damage to the opponent. At mid-to-long range, the weapon is dead accurate when ADS and is like a pocket DMR.
On another note, I still forget to use burn cards almost every single match:(

I like that I can save more up now being a Gen 8 and with this update, rather than constantly deleting or using up ones that I'd like to save for later gen challenges or to level up upon regen.

Update done and here's for some quick match before I resume my work.

So the burn card amount is tied to your gen level right? Might be an excuse for me to regen to Gen 8 since I've been on Gen 7 for far too long.

Perfect sidearm for the sniper rifles. It's like a mini SMG, I finished it's challenge before the DMR challenge when I was going for Gen 5 on PC.

One of the times that the challenges for gens really shined.

Preferences with side arms:

Auto-pistol: EVA, KRABAR, DMR, G2A4. Great for dealing punishment to those who get close and ammunition runs out in CQC.

B3 Wingman: Carbine, Hemlock, CAR, R97, Spitfire LMG. Auto-pistol is a bit too redundant in function to the SMGs, and the accuracy at range is needed for them and the LMG. Good companion to finish off ranged targets with the Carbine. Hemlock needed all the help it could get.

Hammond: Don't really care for it much anymore due to lack of use. It's a good sidearm, but I feel that the other two excel better in the areas that the Hammond crosses into as the middle-man.

Yep. A great change alongside the hot keyed burn card activation. I don't have a number of what's allowed in Gen 8, but right now it's looking like Gen 9 will fly by in leveling with all the XP boosters.
