EDIT: Also, some of those character to real life comparisons seem like a mega stretch.
It's a neat article, for sure, but it feels like they're trying to use more real world influence than is actually present.

Replaced by PSC, guess they still aren't ready to start promoting it yet.
Don't worry too much dantis, it's still on the Titles page right under P5.
Also I would assume that since the vita is region free, they would release the English and Japanese versions at the same time(ish). So maybe they're waiting for it to be basically finished before showing it off.

Hmm, they could be updating the page. I noticed Dingo have put the banner back into rotation on their site, but that might simply be because they stopped promoting something else.
Not sure why you would think that considering every PS3 and Vita game is region free (except for a very few games).
I hate asociating these games, but look at Project DIVA F, it came out in JP during August 2012, NA and EU August 2013.
Project DIVA F2nd was released in march 2014 and that's dated for Fall 2014.

Gosh... Im at December already, got the river guardian, and am trying now to get the sea guardian. Using Gengi Beetle, but I just cant find it!! Im throwing the bait at the sea and recasting by a long time and nothing appears! Is it possible on december with the fog? Its the only thing I need to complete Fox S. Link.

The first BD/DVD release of an anime getting only one episode isn't as uncommon as you think. It's usually cheaper than the average BD/DVD release, comes with a bunch of extras, and is considered a "taste" of what is to come.
Well the animation budget doesn't look too bad in that PV. We'll see how it keeps up, but I can't see it being as bad as the first one.

So it's actually being done by a different team meaning it will be completely different from the original show? This is weird and seems highly unnecessary.

Heh, that'd be amazing. It'd at least be more interesting than seeing most of the story rehashed again. A Groundhog Day Scenario where Yu tries to prevent bad things he knows will happen, but happen anyways.

Yup my thoughts exactly. It'll be my 1000th time seeing the storyline (OK I exaggerate but u get what I mean), but I just can't stop myself from watching it all over again.
