I am looking forward to this. I missed out the first time around, and I hope for a very special experience for first-time players.

Question, since I know so very little about TLoU on PS3, aside from the single player DLC "Left Behind" and various map packs and other DLC, was there a second single player DLC campaign announced for TLoU PS3, or no?

I thought there was, and was wondering if that too was going to be included on day one (or maybe later, at a price) for TLoU: Remastered on PS4

Maybe I was thinking of some other DLC for a completely different game. Most likely I was.

Nope. Left Behind was it.

And it was damn good.

There was no need to leak this. Everyone already knows it :)

Also: Heres something from Detective GAF to kill some time:

Showin' up for Sony comments now, eh. I wish I had waited to play Last of Us now.

I was desperately wishing for a steady rock solid framerate and image quality improvements the entire time, it was clear the Ps3 was croaking at the seams trying to run their vision. I damn knew I should have waited

Ah well, least I haven't played the DLC yet, so that can be new as well as the psycho hard difficulty which I intend to start ASAP >:)

You told me not to wait a long time ago. I didn't listen. I win. ;)

Yeah, but Ami that initial playthrough took you what? 40 hours? Maybe more? You were on Dennis time.

Think about how much time you'll save yourself now!

Unless it just looks so good all over again...

Yes you do man. This is probably going to be a mindblowing first time experience for those who waited. Best of all worlds

Yeah, it and Bioshock Infinite were just like gorgeous art galleries I slowly plodded through. But with Last of Us, since I obviously had to play it on PS3, my love of the artistic direction was tempered by the obvious limitations it was hitting up against on PS3. Some texture work was really, really poor, some of the geometry in places were clearly cut corners. And the framerate struggled to stay above 30 at times, and the image quality itself was really rough and edge-y. It was the number one PS3 game I thought needed a remaster other than GTAV, as good as it did look considering.

At least for GTAV I really did put it down after a few hours so I have most of that game left to play. Should have done the same :p

Okay, your text right there makes me wet!
You know, PS+ and Wii U took me away from purchasing new games for my PS4.

Tlou:R and GTA will be absolutely new to me.

So, so jealous. Played these both on PS3 and they were great, but I'm picking them up again on PS4. Can't imagine how floored people like yourself will be by the better versions.

Any word on this being cross-platform multiplayer? I doubt it, but it would be nice to still be able to play with my ps3 friends.
Segregated, they said stats wouldn't carry over.

We recently announced that it’ll be a level playing field in Factions mode as player progress from The Last of Us PS3 multiplayer will not carry over to the PS4 version. However PS3 players will be getting a supply bonus to give their progression a boost. We can now also say that all current DLC content – head items, weapons, and survival skills – that you have purchased for PS3 will be available for you in the PS4 version. So check out the latest DLC if you haven’t yet.

So they are going to make you buy the new weapons/skills they just came out with? Sad

EDIT: Well I am not sure how it reads, it could be included it could not be. The way it is written makes me think they want you to buy it on the PS3 to have it carry over to PS4.

The only media I've seen of this game is half of one E3 gameplay video of the PS3 version THATS IT. Oh, and a few pictures showing (ENVIRONMENT SPOILERS)
snow!
Other than that I have no idea what I'm in for.

I haven't seen any media of the PS4 version.

Going balls-deep day one.

No, they've confirmed the PS4 version comes with ALL the DLC that is currently out. This includes the weapons and skills.

Buying the PS4 version nets you everything you could possibly already have on PS3.

I'm pretty sure all of the weapon and skills DLC won't be contained in the Remastered version, which kind of sucks for a variety of reasons. I hadn't had a chance to play the multiplayer with all of these new additions because my PS3 died for the third time a few months after TLOU originally came out. I really enjoyed my time with the base multiplayer, and now I'm somewhat worried that all of these new additions will changed the game for the worse. I was sort of hoping those new skills/weapons wouldn't even be added for the Remaster, but if they were I had hoped they would be included so everyone had equal access to them.

Can anyone describe if the multiplayer changed much after they added all of these new things? Better? Worse?

Really? I thought they had said otherwise, if you could find a link I'd be super grateful!

Great to hear and what I hoped, seems way too weird to leave out a few piecemeal DLC. Though I do agree with this poster. Would love to see a source on that.

While I haven't used the new skills, I haven't heard anything crazy from using them. Personally the multiplayer is what I am looking forward to the most with this release.

PS4 version does NOT come with the weapons, perks, and hats UNLESS you already bought them on PS3, whether separately or as part of the Season Pass.
