Aside from hitting the major plot points, the manga is nothing like the anime past the fourth chapter.
Usagi really was shit but I will say she contrasted well with the other Scouts.

No localization, just subtitles. Viz Media should be releasing a dub sometime in the future, though, since they have the rights to the series. No clue when that'll happen, though, but probably not for a very long time.
Viz Media is also redubbing the entire original series, and the first half of season one should be out this fall.
I'm still butthurt over the lack of Toru Furuya.
Kotono Mitsuishi sounds off to me. If I didn't know any better I would assume Usagi was recast and Luna had the same voice actress from that trailer.
If anything, I vastly prefer her voice now. Old anime Usagi's voice could be a little grating. This deeper pitch sounds better imo, and it's still instantly recognizable as Usagi's voice.

I wouldn't want her to hit the same pitches. It doesn't match the more mature tone.
She's a little immature at times, but mostly for brief instances of comic relief rather than actually defining her.
I read the manga a long time ago so I don't remember it very well but weren't Sailor Starlights also "men" in the manga?

You don't need to pay for a VPN when there's the Mediahint browser extension. Let's you browse the internet as if you were in the US.
Apparently Mediahint became a paid VPN.
Last time this came up, people suggested "Hola Unblocker" as a free alternative.
Must still be free if you already had it installed since before they decided that. I do get prompted to pay when I open my browser in a new window, but I never did and it still works perfectly. Surely there must be a way around?
Either way, there are many ways to do it for free. But having a VPN isn't so bad, lets you do a lot of cool stuff!

Nah. I think it will end up on Japanese TV eventually. But if it doesn't... and ends up on American TV first, I swear to god I will <awful verb here>.

Usagi is a young woman who has the fate of the world thrust upon her and grows as she gradually takes up this responsibility. Of course she doesn't react well at first. Of course she's scared and uncertain. However, she's also good natured and, more importantly, cares little for social norms and expectations. She does her own thing in her own way. This is precisely why she's able to be the focal point of her group of friends that would otherwise be outcasts, and also why she's somewhat tomboyish from a Japanese perspective.
The whole getting thin bit was one episode, and the show goes around having fun with different fads, of which all turn out to be evil, obviously. As for Tuxedo Mask, the ultimate irony is that while Usagi does find him terribly attractive, he's undependable and most of the time completely useless. He doesn't actually DO much of anything most of the time! Usagi has to do all the actual heavy lifting, and just needs a bit of help or encouragement in doing so.
Most of all, though, Usagi is also the comic lead of the show as well as the dramatic lead. None of the show works without her, and bashing her as you have shows how little you pay attention.
