Terror in Resonance 1-2
As a surprise, Funi presented the premiere of the second episode as well as the first. Which was awesome, because it was hellish trying to get the first episode to play at all. The file kept getting corrupted mid-episode with the PS3 prompt and everything. It might have been more funny if I hadn't waited close to two hours in the boiling sun to see it. They even began with a special message from Watanabe where he explained that the project was something he's wanted to do for a long time. He also said he hopes people can take in Space Dandy and Terror in Resonance seperately since they're so different in tone. Probably said to prepare anyone who was going in just because of Space Dandy. After the presentation, the Funi rep (Justin) said that the second episode was prepared early for that screening alone, and that they had "sleepless nights for a week" as a result. They also had a camera setup for people to give their impressions of the episodes to be sent directly to Watanabe and the production staff.

I have a lot to say about what I saw, but i'd rather do so when i'm not on my phone. I will say the OP was pretty good-- felt 100% like the Kids on the Slope opening which isn't a bad thing. Directed by Koike, the ED was definitely the highlight of the two. Seriously beautiful with a haunting tune (though that description might be on account of the huge sound system).

At least give us a thumbs up or down :(

You underestimate your own Gary Stuitude.

Worst thing about this is still speaking of Kayaba sympathetically to the point of giving him enough respect to call him "sensei". Fuckin bullshit.

DTL, how many arcs do you think Mahouka will cover? I think this current one probably has 2 more episodes before it finishes.

I find the description of the overall experience leading up to the screening more compelling than most first episodes this season so far. Thanks Mature!

I wasn't really expecting much from the PV other than cute boys but I enjoyed this. It seems like a very slow show but the character interactions were fun to watch. I particularly enjoyed the President's backhanded compliments.

If the anime industry really cared about its fans it would put Kirito-kun and onii-sama in a closed room with a comically misshapen carrot and a talking sassy salmon, told them that they're both poisoned and that the survivor would get the antidote and just animated the encounter. Not even Goku could step into that shit and survive.

Hey Onii-sama seems alright. Can't help Kirito though

I think this arc will finish in two or three episodes than they have eight episodes for the next major arc (or covering up to the end of v7).

Does the next major arc have family back story (his aunt especially)?

If I recall, that dude worked under him in research.
You're not wrong though. And it comes up again next arc.

This would actually be worth seeing.

It'll join the shelf of shame (stuff I've bought but not watched since joining animegaf) unopened until the bluray player is fixed lol

I watched all the stuff I bought these past few months lol

Nothing is unwatched as of now.

I can't wait to do a yearly damage post at the end of 2014 to reflect on my simultaneous shame and happiness.

Barakamon - 1

This was okay, thought this was suppose to be about
healing the MC, but that was all done in a episode
, so I am not too sure where this is going.

I don't like the little girl, seems a bit too Manic Pixie Dream Girl for me.

That's a steal! Great find.

Also, great news about Index/Railgun coming to Blu-ray. Might pick up Railgun S on Blu-Ray when it comes out.

I have a similar stack

Good thing I never bought the DVDs. Railgun and Index are coming out on Bluray and they are also putting out the movie.

I assume the rest of the show will be about
the lead learning to let go of his issues, become more open, and do a new calligraphy style. But I wouldn't be surprised if it's a show just full of calm happiness. No drama.

This looks like my new One Week Friends. With less fedora tipping.

2nd worst

How does Nasa organize a space themed party?

They simply PLANET.

I wish I could comment on ToR but I was stuck waiting to order next year's AX premiere badge for five hours. :(

At least I have Gen Urobuchi's autograph.
