About the only news seems like MK passing the 500k threshold. This holiday ought to be an interesting one for Nintendo since the Wii U will have had a library of evergreen titles by then.

I think that with PS4 version it has shot on one million. With this bargain edition PS3 version alone should make it to the 800k with time.

Famitsu and Media Create will probably count the 2 versions of the sequel together, like they do with the Pokemon games.

Woo, half a million for Mario Kart 8, Persona Q should reach 250k in a couple of weeks, 4.1 million for Pokemon X/Y next week and Yokai Watch rises in anticipation of the sequel.

It's going to be crazy to see Yokai Watch 2 blow past the first game in a matter of weeks.

GTA5 has had insane legs for a western game. Unprecedented.

Launched at 304k and is now at 722k. GTA bargain editions, now that I look at it, do really well too. The PS2 Vice city one started at 4k and ended up at 191k.

I don't understand why Japan loves GTA5 so much.

Its the difinitive western game Japan cant make. Ive speculated that youtube/social media really helped too, as gameplay videos really sell it.

You can remove that "if". YW1 is gonna stay in MC's TOP 20 for quite a while.

Actually, I wouldn't even be surprised if sales actualyl went slightly up next week.

I think it has more to do with western games generally becoming more and more popular in Japan. GTA that was faily popular even during PS2 gen has taken advantage of that new market with GTAV.
