15% (or more) off consoles at Target 7/13 & 14

Didn't see a thread so I figured I would post this here.

Target has a coupon app called Cartwheel. Today and tomorrow they are offering 15% off of electronics, including consoles.

The best part? It stacks with other coupons! For example, one could fill out a change of address form online for an additional 10% coupon, and use the Red Card for another 5%.

I just bought a 3DS XL for $130. Xbox One and PS4 would be a little under $300 a piece. :D

Just printed out a barcode. Getting my brother a Kinectless Xbox One tomorrow for about 300 dollars thanks to Cartwheel+movers coupon+Red Card. The same can be done for PS4/Wii U.

Explain the change of address coupon. What does that mean? I am not a Target member.

Do I fill out something in store and get an additional 10pcct off?

You can go to USPS.com and fill out a mail forwarding form. Put in a random address, forward mail for a day, and then pay $1. There are a bunch of mover coupons on the next screen. Select the target one (there is also a 10% Best Buy one as well) and have it emailed to you. Then print the Target coupon for another 10% off.

Red cards can be linked to a checking account and give you 5% off of all purchases.

This might be a stupid question but where does the mail go that you forward to some random address?

I'm reading elsewhere that some aren't seeing an offer from target when filling out their change of address form. Just an FYI.

Did anyone receive a Target one? I'll trade a Best Buy coupon. I think it's dependent on Zipcode unfortunately.

Nevermind, got it:

Ok, another question. I dont have a target card right now. Theres no way I could get one within the next 2 days right?

I actually legit changed address the other week and got this forwarding service coupon. Pretty sure it specifically says not valid on Playstation 4, but that could have been Best Buy I guess.

I used the Target one this morning and it worked on consoles.

As for addresses:

Feel free to use these.

Old address: 173 graduate on apt 416 boone NC 28607

New address: 804 Gander Cove Ln apt 9 Matthews NC 28105

Both are vacant apartments. :)

Yay got the Target 10% off coupon.

I need to legit do this anyway so nows a good time to sign up.

Gonna go to Target in a few and sign up for the Red Card

Finally getting an Xbox One :)

You could sign up for the Debit Red Card at the store and it will take away the 5% right there.

Ok thanks

This worked, and I got the coupon. Do I have to submit (the last step or whatever) for the coupon to go 'live'?

Just so you guys know and are careful with this, usps reports to the credit bureaus about address changes and those address will show up sometimes when you apply for credit and they ask you questions about "in the last 2 years choose the address you have lived at"

So be careful about remembering what you put down.

So how does this mail forwarding work exactly? Go to USPS.com, say I am changing addresses as of today, and put in the addresses above/pay $1 for the coupon to appear?
Wondering this as well. Haven't confirmed my order yet, but I can print the coupon already. I assume it's safe to just back out now.
So you can do the USPS thing without actually having to go through with the forwarding?

This. Also, you guys might want to think twice about opening a red card account just for a 5% discount. Taking out a store credit card can sometimes ding your credit score.

I got the target address coupon. Do I have to print that and then present the mobile coupon cartwheel after?

Is it possible they can refuse to scan both?

Thanks

The Red Card is also a debit card that's linked to a checking account, so if you pay for everything atTarget with it it still comes out of your account and you get 5% off.

Serious, this is a horrible deal in regards to credit accounts.

Yeah, taking out a line of credit for something like this is not a good long-term play.

I know nothing about it, but taking the option to link to a checking account instead would be a better thing to do (IF that's all it really is)

I'm reluctant to do that latter since Target has already been compromised once

Yeah, I'd stay away from the credit card. I signed up for the red card online so I can't use it in store until I get it in the mail... Sad Panda

I don't have a printer. Can I scan them both at register? Will they catch on and make me choose one or the other?

Or worse ... Arrest me...?

Can I make it guys?

I put in a BS name on the address change form. There is a choice to put in that you are forwarding someone else's address for them. And, yeah, it gave me the coupon before the final order confirmation. So, just don't confirm your order any way and nothing was done.

Not the 15% off part.

Not the 10% one either. Pretty much says no prepaid/gift cards of any kind on it.

The target 10% from change of address says:

*Excludes all gift cards, gaming, airtime and prepaid cards, Target Mobile purchases, Portrait Studio, Clinic and prescriptions.

I actually just moved, so I can legit sign up for this. Bummer this won't probably work.

Edit: Wait do they mean gaming CARDS? or just "gaming"?

I saw that, I read it as gaming prepaid cards so no PSN or XBL cards, not gaming electronics in general. Maybe I'm wrong.

Has anyone actually bought a system using both coupons yet?

I'm currently working at Target so i can say that YMMV. If it's our store, we don't really care if that coupon applied for that or not, we just pressed accept anyway. Also i got a 10% off from employee. May as well take this chance to buy a wii U ^^

The 'red card' is just a link to your checking account. It's not a cc.
