Disappointing as hell. I hate how the ONE year I didn't get platinum(the first year they offered it), they gave away a freaking Mario Characters statue. And every year since then where I did achieve platinum status the prizes have been nowhere near as good. I don't mind digital games but these are games that most Platinum members probably already own to get to platinum. I have like 75% of those games.

To people not getting the frustration: for buying MK8, you got a game worth as much as 6x some of the platinum rewards.

Damn, why is Nintendo so damn cheap with the Gold prizes? Only NES and Game Boy games? Four of those games I've already received from being a 3DS ambassador. Platinum has a couple 3DS games, but Gold can't even get any SNES games?

This is horrible. At least have something physical for people who've reached Platinum.
With that said Game & Wario is very neat. Having more people own it will hopefully get more people using Miiverse sketch. Where a word (which is suggested by players) shows up and you have a minute to draw it. You can see what others have drawn. The actually games I very enjoyable and there are 240 unlockables from the cluck-o-pop many of which are interesting and funny.

We're a pretty vocal group, we should campaign Nintendo through twitter and facebook requesting better platinum prizes. They make the amount of points so high only to "surprise" the hardcore fans with whatever cheap item they can throw at us. Why don't they have nintendo club exclusive amiibos or nintendo figurines or even nintendo plush toys.

Thank god I held off buying DKCR:3D, I pretty much have many of the first games on the list for being a 3DS Ambassador. DKCR:3D seems like the best choice because of both its retail price and metacritic/other review scores. I guess runner up for that would have been Game & Wario.

Sad there's no physical reward. Was hoping for a Fire Emblem related soundtrack or art poster or the art used in Smash for Robin and Lucina. That was a sexy piece of art for Smash.
But then again, DKR3D (and the other Wii U platinum rewards) are full retail digital games like I asked for previously so I'm still happy. Gonna pick up DKR3D. Good job NOA. I'm gonna imagine that you were listening to me on that one lol.

Whoa, now that's uncalled for. First of all, the disappointment shouldn't be taken as Nintendo being bad, just underwhelming. Club Nintendo membership and status only entitles you to a gift, not a specific type of gift. Yes, this year is disappointing, yes it's seems lazy, but we shouldn't act like entitled little snobs about it either; that and name-calling won't do any good.

I think Japan is announced at a later date but IIRC last year had downloadable games including an exclusive DSiWare release of Advance Wars Days of Ruin 9(game never got Japanese retail release, still purchasable on the club)

If that was the case, then the European Club Nintendo would be the same. All 3 major regions have different prizes and policies.
I seem to be in the minority here who would much rather get a free game than a real item, but I also didn't hit platinum this year.

People complain about anything. Under no obligation is anyone to recieve anything for free. You paid for your games and this a neat little bonus at the end of the year. Who buys Nintendo games soley for the Club Nintendo Rewards anyway?

At least now I can get my prize immediately instead of 6 months later. The only thing I wish is that platinum members could pick 2 games instead of just one. But free is free.
