The Last of Us: Remastered |OT| Game of the Years

I never once did that on the SP... MP, that's a whole different story.

I just remember how shitty it felt when it was 1v1 at the end of a round and you got smoke bombed. You knew right then that you had let your team down and you were about to get brutally stabbed in the back.

Yup, and now with the bomb expert skill it's even deadlier than before.

If you don't mind me asking, what do you do? You appear to have a pretty solid understanding of this, and as someone who knows nothing it is exciting.
Largely media creation, ranging from graphic design and video to effects work and simple 3D. Also working on some concept / prototype projects that could become episodic live action shows and/or game series (meaning I'm soaking my head into various aspects of developing software).

Games that exude the quality and scope of titles like TLOU have been very inspirational and led to the ambitions myself and several friends have to becomming our career goals.

I'm very hyped for the director's commentary with Neil, Troy, and Ashley. It'll be a treat to listen to their experiences in creating such a marvelous game.

As an aside,
After voicing such a charming protagonist in Drake I wonder what it was like for Nolan North to voice such an absolute monster like David.

This.
I've plaed through the game on hard but with listen mode.
With Remastered I want to play on the hardest difficulty, without listen mode and with commentary!

I need this game inside me NOW!

Why are you reading my tag instead of the title of my post?
I just got excited once I realized about an hour ago that I was buying this. TLoU PS3 Gamestop trade in, $10 coupon, I found $10 in my pocket, oh yeah, I'm ready.

Still no bundle in Oz, so it looks like I might just have to take the plunge or wait it out and call their bluff.

Target has the ps4 on sale for $500 (reg $550), but they could be sold out.

Either way really looking forward to this, have not replayed this game yet and I'm glad I held out. The remaster looks fantastic. I'm honestly thrilled they decided to do this, always thought while I played it the first time, "this would look great on ps4", now we all get the chance.

Also bought a brand new amp for the theatre setup. The sound resolution has also gone up by the sounds of it. REALLY looking forward to hearing the difference and adjusting those azimuths.

Not happening. Closest you can get is the GameStop upgrade deal where you get the Remastered for $25 with the trade of the TLoU PS3 disc. Digital TLoU has no deal.

I thought about it, but there are a lot of people that are going to be playing through for the first time.

wait i can trade in my ps3 copy of the last of us and get the ps4 version for 25 bucks? Does this apply to Canada as well?

I have a feeling I'll rack up more hours in the Photo Mode than in the multiplayer, especially if it's enabled for the DLC as well.
The greatest time-waster of this generation, no doubt.

Don't click this if you haven't played the main game peoples. Potential LB spoilers, but I haven't played it/watched it and I don't consider it one.
I haven't played LB, but I think it starts during the Winter Chapter and is a flashback type of thing. If that is the case I may start it when I get to Winter.

What? No!
Makes no sense at all. Finish the main story and THEN play Left Behind.

Can we still do survivor+ playthrough glitch ?

Completing the game on normal first and then glitch and start next playthrough on survivor+ right away ?
With that there are only two playthroughs required instead of three for platinum....

Now in remastered you could start on survivor right away but for me that difficulty ain't fun since you have to conserve ammo and supplies. But most importantly it's hard to upgrade all weapons, skills and unlock all secret doors since everything is so limited !

Quick question for you guys, I've played and completed the base game on PS3 but not the DLC. Would playing the DLC first make more sense story wise (as I believe it's a flashback?)

Sorry if it's already been asked!

If you still remember the main story it's fine, but if you intend on replying the main game again i would recommend doing that and than start the DLC.

Το me this is the greatest game of all time, yes all time...

My opinion and only my opinion.

But the way TLOU connected with me, no other game has. I cant wait!

Cheers, I haven't played the game since finishing it in the first week. So I'll play through that again first.

Played through the campaign 3 times, finished left behind, played multiplayer until ps4 launch....

And its still my most anticipated game of the year.

Sony really do know how to have someone by the balls.

Which difficulty would you choose for a first run of TLOU?
If you're competent at third person action adventure games I would say Hard with Listen Mode off.

Check if you like it and adjust based on how much fun you're having with the gameplay. Listen Mode and difficulty can be changed on the fly.

REMEMBER TO MARK YOUR SPOILERS! PLEASE DO NOT POST SCREENSHOTS OF ANYTHING THAT COULD REMOTELY BE CONSIDERED A SPOILER.

First post is a spoiler. Great job.

Are those preorder bonuses a big help? I was planning on picking this up in September, but if that is the only way to get those perks I will preorder now.
