-Nintendo's Unity license is very generous and lets people release games on the eShop for a relatively tiny amount of money

-Most of the competent/established indies are ducking the eShop for reasons xyz, relegating it to a few decent niche devs and a whole bunch of amateurs

It boggles my mind why anyone would make a shooter like this today. No height differences and flat corridors feels like the most boring and laziest kind of level design.

Buuuuut, this is just one pic. There might be more to this game than this shows.

Fake edit: and after checking what other games they've done I'm not so sure that it could get more exiting than in that pic.

And the WiiU is such a strange choice of Nintendo console for this.
A 3DS Doom/Wolf3D shooter would be awesome by default just based on the 3D.

Regardless, this game doesn't look nearly as offensive as The Letter and The Maze.

@Sify64 yeah.. we are keeping it retro. But at the same time we add tons of next-gen stuff.. like the lighting effects on the nuclearwaste.

What... How is this game comparable to shit like, IQ Test, Letter and the other lazy mobile game ports? Moreover, you are intentionally ignoring the great games that are already out and upcoming for the store to make your assumption.

Unless the screenshot isn't representative, that's Wolfenstein-style level design, not Doom-style.
