From Reddit.

NOTE: This is translated:

A few minutes ago came an email from Sony about the PlayStation Gamescom, the event being held these days in Cologne, as we can see from one of the games presented There are The Order, 1886, Until Dawn, and Bloodborne the demo on the store PT aka Silent Hills new project for Kojima Productions in collaboration with Guillermo del Toro, well the top three in their respective thumbnail images containing the logo "Exclusive Playstation" while PT does not is marked as exclusive, so it is assumed that the title will be multiplatform, we await the official announcement to dissolve the doubts.

Is there a reason to assume it's exclusive? Wouldn't Sony want to say it's such if it was?

Horror games do well on PC. With MGSV Fox Engine is now on PC. That platform makes sense to me. Xbox One more or less the same thing.

Was it ever stated to be exclusive? Unless it's explicitly trumpeted from the mountain that a first party is publishing, I assume arrangements are timed exclusive / comarketing / etc.

PT is a teaser, though. Not the game itself.

But I also do believe that SH will be a multiplatform game.

Very probably won't be. They would've announced it that way if it was. And announcing it as exclusive and then going back worked wonders for Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics, so I don't think they'd do that either.

.....I don´t think anyone expected Silent Hills to be exclusive .

The series has been more or less multiplat since....Silent Hill 2.

There hasn't been an exclusive Silent Hill since the very first game, and given the talent that the game is already boasting, they'd be insane for locking this down to one platform.

Why should it be exclusive?

Sony did a smart thing by securing P.T. on PS4 (for now?), so now some people THINK it's PS4 exclusive or associate Silent Hills with the PS4. That was the real goal here.

They announced PT as an exclusive. Silent Hills may or may not be exclusive. Who knows. Though the reasoning in the OP is quite a bit of stretch and doesn't really point anything either way.

Major Konami game going exclusive? Unlikely.

I'm not sure why people thought this was exclusive in the first place.

Yep, Sony was surprisingly very clear on what was exclusive, timed exclusive, or otherwise during the conference. The only thing they said with regards to PT was tat you can play the teaser now exclusively on PS4.

Why was it assumed to be exclusive? I missed the official announcement I guess.

We're doing the Xbox E3 2013 thing where anything with no stated platforms is assumed to be exclusive for the only platform we saw it on.

Seems highly likely this will be PS4/Xbox One, possibly even PC since Konami seems to be taking that more seriously.

I see no reason that it would be. If it were exclusive, Sony would have been shouting it from the highest mountain.

It was a no-show in the MS material and the interactive dload is only available on PS. This just goes a step further to show it should appear on the XBOX.

.

They will have a marketing deal, though. And after Watch Dogs and soon Destiny's power to sell PS4s, full-blown exclusivity would be a waste.

What's the point of P.T. appearing anywhere else now? It did its job - announcing the obviously multi-platform silent hills.

I just assumed that the exclusivity claim for this was part of some pissing match between MS and Sony fans. This IP would probably be an even dumber thing to moneyhat than Tomb Raider. The casual/mass market doesn't respond well to horror games. Dead Space being the most obvious example of a franchise being gutted in an attempt to grow its base.

Look forward to playing it on the PC.

They said the word exclusive when the trailer was discussed. Of course, they were talking about the trailer.
