Yeah that definitely needs to get fixed.
Such a pain that on both Vita and PS4 you need a PS3 to fix that.
A compromise would be to allow you to change it from the webstore at the very least.

i would like to bet that it was hw limitation, but with the PS4 there is not holding back with the shitload of ram for system and stuff. hoping for 20MB HQ dynamic themes here

I've never used DLNA, but suspend and resume is no.1 on features. At least they are finally getting things out.

Can't you set it as a picture from the PS Mobile app now? I'm not sure how that works, since I assume the controlled avatar store is so people don't put boobs on there. Maybe it's for "real name" sharing users only? I just leave mine as it is since it's a premium one, chibi Histoire.
