It'll take me a while to reply back, but could it just be possible that the Tomodatchi room was made by the leaker? The images aren't great quality, and I'm sure that there's enough stock images of furniture to easily make a low quality new room. I still believe this leak is fake, but it has a lot of work put into it; I'll give it that.

Every image of the Dog that shows more than a closeup of his head is a joke or almost definitely fake image. The skinny body you're referring to is a photo of Pluto someone photoshopped the Dog's head onto as a joke.

I can tell you for a fact that's not true. A couple of them might have been gullible and got sucked into that awful Comic-Con "leak" but that has no bearing on the totality of the moderator staff and is no way reflective of any malicious intent, especially when it makes their/our job more difficult.

Yes, it's true. Polar Bear was only up for like few minutes then got replaced with other POTD. I guess they don't want to misleading the customers to believe that Ice Climbers are coming back for 100% sure.

We will see.

Have the Rhythm Haven ghosts been in demos for Smash Run, or just a trailer? I'm just wondering if maybe these enemies aren't added until the character is downloaded.

As far as I'm aware, the only Smash Run enemies in the E3 demo without playable representatives from their franchise are Yellow Ghost (Find Mii series, has a stage) and Sneaky Spirit (Rhythm Heaven series, has nothing so far, maybe supposedly DLC according to the leak???) I personally saw the Sneaky Spirit when I tried the demo, and there's video evidence to go along with it.

Polar Bear was only in that one image.

Yeah, I understand that. It's sad how Neo Zero just made rest of moderator staffs look bad by mishandling his job pretty bad. (I have no problem with him but I kept hearing things from other people, with provided the links that he made mistakes.)

I know I know. I'm just deducing that from his head size. It's so thin in comparison to his old cartoony football. It just seems like a big departure. Oh well I like the stoner dog look anyway

Sneaky Spirit was in the E3 demo. Polar Bear hasn't had a PoTD detailing him but has been shown in press kits.

Again, what you're saying is true, there are possible ways of explaining this stuff away, but the point is a different one. Anything is possible, but not everything is equally likely. Absent any rock-solid proof one way or the other, we have to go by what is most likely to be true.

Suppose ICs were revealed in tomorrow's PotD. Your explanation is that the leak is taken from footage where the full roster isn't unlocked, and that ESRB has more footage which shows the full roster but of which the leaker took no pictures. That's possible - there's no way to disprove such an explanation - but how likely is it? Is there any actual reason to believe that your explanation is true other than the fact that it's possible? In other words, is there any independent evidence that the ESRB has footage showing the full roster in addition to this footage of the incomplete roster? That's why I call that explanation an ad hoc one: it's a possibility with no independent evidence for it, invented purely for the sake of refuting an objection.

In the face of such a theoretical, convoluted explanation, it seems to me that a much simpler and more reasonable conclusion would be that the leak is simply fake. After all, fake leaks are a dime a dozen, so the chances of any purported leak being real is pretty low right off the bat.

Yeah, and remember that someone on Smashboards also claimed they saw footage of Ganondorf and a Cranky Kong AT at E3. Nothing but rumor and hearsay.

I thought polar bear was also in a second image from a batch of screens. Maybe i'm remembering wrong.

I fully, wholeheartedly agree with you. Chances are VERY HIGH that if ice climbers are revealed tomorrow that the leak is disproved. But it's not 100%. That's all I'm saying.

I was merely trying to list things that would 100% confirm or 100% deny. A duck hunt dog reveal w/ a render identical to the leak 100% confirms the leak. A Ness reveal with a render that is 100% different from the leak 100% disconfirms the leak.

Ice climbers appearing POINTS to the leak being fake, but does not 100% disconfirm it.

That...would actually be pretty good idea, but probably not happening since its the Dog on the character selection screen. Not to mention the dog would probably look a little meaner if thats the case.

Then again, they are calling the character Duck Hunt..hhmm...

While I cannot go into much detail, Neo Zero isn't entirely at fault. There's been a lot of variables that have been at play.

Oh sorry, a few people before you were confused, just wanted to clarify. His face does look a little thin, but it's hard to tell for sure with it turned at an angle like that. Also, his skin color is a lot lighter than on the NES, isn't it? I guess I might be remembering wrong.

Actually, you're right. I see two images of the Polar Bear. The Miiverse fan site's listings seem to indicate that they were both press releases and not Pics of the Day.

Ah, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were trying to list only what would truly 100% make or break the leak. I thought you were talking more broadly about what was merely good evidence for or against the leak.

Really, though, if the Palutena Real-Fake war taught us anything, it's that a render had better be truly 100% identical. Even the slightest difference will provoke a new round of arguing. And with pics as blurry as this leak provides, frankly I'm not sure anything short of having the game in our hands will settle this one.

I would actually be OK with Dr. Mario coming back, if only because I never liked FLUDD becoming Mario's Down Special. Plus pills are cooler than fireballs.
