Meh I will wait for the Wii U version to get release, though I can't wait to use Heracross, Primeape, Hitmonlee, Infernape, Sawk, Scrafty, Poliwrath, Machoke, Hitmontop and Breloom.

Funfact those Pokémon have been on my team. :)

This will probably be awesome.

The fact that it's getting released in arcades first is a sign that they're taking the game seriously.

I've had to eat a lot of crow this week. Almost getting used to the taste.

First #TeamFake then #TeamDetectivePikachu

Aostia

El Capitan Todd
I need this on my PAL WIi U. Considering that they said "arcade first" and that Nintendo already registered the trademark in US and Europe, I'm confident.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
It's not a trailer btw, just a teaser. Obviously they'll be better.

The best thing to talk about is ROSTER!

Not getting hyped until Primeape is confirmed to be taking his rightful anime canon spot in the game as fighting pokemon champion. Also Hawlucha.

Surprised how many people in GAF don't realize that fighting games go through arcades for play testing first. This is not even remotely surprising, especially from Harada / Namco Bandai. This will come to Wii U, around 6-12 months after arcade. They have no reason to rush it with Smash being Nintendo's fighting game for 2015, either.

So fucking hyped for this. Will be playing it competitively.

I'm happy this is getting an arcade release. This will almost certainly be the most popular game in arcades when it comes out. An arcade release shows they're going for a serious fighting game. Plus they can fix everything for a console release.

People are not upset at the fact that it's Arcade only for now, people are upset because they will have to wait a bit longer to play a game since obviously not most of us have an Arcade close and even if we did, this game will ptobably not be in it.
I do play fighting games and know how Namco releases their games but this being a collaboration between Nintendo, TPC and Namco; I guess it is safe to say most people thought it was coming to Wii U and didn't even consider Arcade as a platform for this game.

I thought it was just going to go straight to Wii U, like Smash Bros does. Arcade didn't even cross my mind. Now the wait begins.

Welp.

Is there even a Tekken that wasn't released on arcade first? If it's coming to consoles remains to be seen, but the arcade announcement was obvious.

It's coming to consoles. The Pokemon Company boss said during the stream that it's coming to arcades first, and then later said "oops" about revealing the "first" part.
