Hmm, R-analog joystick seems to be bit too small. Somehow reminded me of IBM's track point.

That stick seems a bit haphazardly placed. Like a bad photoshop job. I'll give it the benefit of doubt until I use one and see how it feels. Which current games could use it though?

I have a bad habit of buying the new shit because it's new, but honestly I thinkI can hold off on this just fine. Haven't used my XL for long enough to justify an upgrade, plus the only two games I see myself playing on it for the next year or two are Pokemon and Ace Attorney.

I love how every practical hardware revision that has been predicted this gen (3DS losing 3D, 3DS gaining 2nd analog, XBone with no Kinect, Vita with internal memory and a lower quality screen) has not only released but proven skeptics wrong. :D

Better 3D? I hope that means a better screen (although no res increase is still a pisser).

Second stick is a good move, though I'm not sure that the nipple style was the right way to go. Guess I'd need to try it.

Disappointed that there's no spec bump. The machine's just too weak.

Guess it's time to retire my Zelda XL...Been wanting to put it up anyway to keep it pristine and did not want to share/steal my daughters :)

Interesting. Position for C-stick seems as awkward as the D-pad's, I hope it's not as unusable.

I'll hold off until we see first party games that actually use the extra stick and buttons.

Better 3D? That would be nice, it worked reasonably well on the 3DSXL but some games have really terrible cross-talk.

I hope the improved battery life applies to the XL as well, and not just the smaller version. XL's battery life is terrible.
