Please do not let me serve on a jury. I am actually a crazy person.
If this is mid-tier games, ala The Last Remnant, count me happy.
If Itou is in any way involved, i'm donning my PSX-era fanboy hat.
.. But it's probably vain hopes.

Does it say anywhere that it will be only new experiences or stuff like that? It could be a "port studio" getting stuff from mobile to consoles.

We have decided it would be fitting for FFXV to be a launch title for the Sony PSXV
it would still miss the launch date

This was a mistranslation.PSXV is the tentative console choice.

We are currently developing the game so it can be ported once per decade. It would take a lot of work to decide which console or decade is the optimum time from a business point of view.

Please keep on the look out for future developments/consoles/companies!

By "console RPGs" they mean they made a studio to port their mobile games to console digital platforms...

The Japanese text: ''For all the adventures we played as children, we can now make new ones as adults.''

So it sounds like new games to me.

So a software house mostly known for its console RPGs opens a new studio to focus on console RPGs development? There's something I'm missing.

It's Japanese. Click on the link and check the address bar. Japanese test before and after RPG

Oh it makes sense now. I've never seen a japanese URL before.

Anyway even after opening 新規rpg採用.com/index.html I still see xn--rpg-l46fv4g868aqu6a.com/index.html in my address bar.

God I want to be excited and hopeful so bad. Would love to see smaller games aside from just huge AAA projects. Still waiting for Enix to give me another EVO. A modern EVO where you could explore and dominate 3D worlds through different eras? In my veeeeins.

Both Square and Enix are sitting on some great IPs. Bring 'em to the table!

Is there any information what kind of rpg they will be working on? That picture looks pretty retro. Which is a good thing for S-E.
