Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
The difference between Famitsu and MC in tracking Wii U seems won't level out anytime soon...it just keeps going and going :lol

Not according to either tracker, Famitsu numbers were just combined above.

Also DQX lol. So much for unprecedented demand - more like a complete fuck up by SE.

That 'unprecedented demand' was just a sneaky twist by websites like Siliconera.

50k is actually a lot, considering they had to stop shipping new copies, and like hisha-kun reported, it sold out during the very first day. Let's not forget it's a subscription-based MMO on the 3DS. I was expecting 30k max, and with the full 4 days, not just the first one.

There weren't any big releases, really. What like, Plants vs. Zombies? Eh.

The Japanese market reacts when things are on shelves, not just when they're announced at conferences. I didn't think there'd be anything behind a coincidental increase. We'll see the increases in the form of bumps when the announced games are released.

Let's also not forget it's not really a game, more like a streamed one.

Well, first of all, how many JRPGs can you name which have the same production values of FF and KH, and equivalent marketing campaigns, and failed to sell anything close?
The Mistwalker games for 360?

I thought BD and LO bombing was the reason MS dropped that studio.

People were expecting a bump, which is why I pointed that out.

And your point isn't quite correct: I clearly remember the 3DS getting a noticeable bump right after MH3G was announced.

Indeed, that one specific counterexample about the most popular console and a god-tier series overwrites the more common pattern for sure.

Famitsu and MC need to have a pow wow about their Nintendo numbers

The total LTD difference for Wii U between the 2 trackers is only around 20k, it's really not far apart. A 1-2k difference seems significant when the total is so low, but in absolute numbers it's nothing.
