All of Wolf's normals were unique, though. Dark Pit is the inverse of Wolf - a clone with a new FS and the same model as his source, while Wolf is a distinct character with some similar specials and a lazily recycled FS.

Up B is the duck recovery
Down B is the Gunman that gets set down and fires off a few shots

They're from Mother 1 and 2. They were temporary allies that could be recruited.

Meh. People have known Wolf for a long time since Star Fox is a classic. Kid Icarus really isnt even close to being as well known, and iirc Dark Pit is a fairly new addition to the franchise. On top of that, he looks *identical* in both appearance and skill set.

Sakurai wanted 3 reps for both of his franchises, and perhaps when he was reworking Pit he was messing around with different properties of his moves and decided it was worth it to add another slot to have both versions of Pit he created and enjoyed.

Im not salty about his addition, and I wont pull the 'wasted a slot' card since I think thats a load of BS, but it just seems a bit silly.
