Drive Club PS+ Edition will release in addition to regular PS+ allocation

Seems like there will be 3 games for PS4 next month.

Elsewhere, Sony has confirmed that the PS Plus edition of DriveClub will not count as one of October's free games for the service. It will instead be a bonus on top of the planned PS Plus offerings for the month.

"Driveclub will be in addition to your regular PS Plus allocation," stated PS Blog manager Fred Dutton. "There's loads of content included. Do try it out: I think you'll have a great time with it, and at no additional cost to your wallet."

£42.99 to upgrade to the full version from PS+ edition! this is the same price as the physical copy.

I wanted to go all digital this gen, but not at these prices.

I've been critical of a lot of the ways Driveclub has been handled, so I feel obliged to indicate that this is a very respectful move.

Good news, means I can treat it as an extra that is completely disposable... just how I like treating my 30fps racers ;)

This has been known for quite some time, hasn't it?
News to me. Wasn't even sure if they were still doing the DriveClub+ thing. Also, if they were, I was certainly under the impression it would be one of the games of the month, leaving only one other PS+ game for that month for PS4. This, however, is fantastic news.

Does that mean everyone can stop bitching about it being a "demo" and replacing a full game? No? Okay then. Cue "we want Knack" I guess.

This approach is actually way cooler than the 1 hour full game trials on PS3 (that took longer to download and install than to play), and due to the social nature it's a pretty neat way to do it. It's sort of like a more expansive version of the KI "free demo" version but without piecemeal unlocks and it requires PS+, though I'm not sure there's much point in this game without online (and having a PS console without PS+ is pretty silly anymore IMO)

I'm interested to know what happens if someone in my club only has the PS+ version and I unlock a car that's not in it, they said that whatever one person in the club gets you all get.
