Any idea when this will be pushed to the general public?

I don't know if this belongs in this thread, but I have no idea where else I could post it. Has anyone had any issues with the September update causing the image and sound to occasionally cut out for a moment and then return almost immediately (about once an hour or so)? I am trying to determine if there is a problem with my monitor or if it is a problem with the xbox.

Snap gives me an error when I try and launch it. Hard reboot didn't fix it.

So the "Press X to Record That" during snap center gives me an idea:
"Press LB/RB to adjust Volume Balance."
(i.e. between the snapped app and center app)

I don't like the spot they placed it in. Like, what is the user workflow logic in it? Double tapping the xbox button is for snapping a second window, what does that have to do with recording in the main window? It's these kinds of cryptic u-turns that's gonna make it a nightmare for new users if they keep adding stuff wherever.

What if holding down bumpers or triggers actually changed your options in snap Center? Like a modifier?
For example when guide is double tapped 'SNAP CENTRE' appears and our options are 'main app focus', 'snapped app focus', 'snap an app' and 'unsnap'.
What if holding down LT now gave us, 'CAPTURE CENTRE' and options now become 'record that', 'screenshot', 'start a stream', 'record to x external HDD'.
Having shortcut key presses would turn common tasks that used to require actual attention and menu navigation in snapped windows into just a set amount of button presses that would become instinctual over time to the point where you'd not even need to look.
I.e. Double tap guide, snap an app, navigate to twitch app (which will likely never be in the same place in the list due to the fact that the changes every time a new app is used), start streaming option from within app, could simply become...

YES! I have experienced this. It didn't manifest in my recorded clips, so I was worried it was my TV or receiver. It's like the HDMI signal drops for a few seconds.

I've also experienced something like this. In my case my tv loses the picture for a second every 8 seconds or so. I immediately know it's happening when I boot up the console, and turning it off and then back on, or unplugging that HDMI cable and plugging it back in always fixes it.
Only tv and only with the USB dongle, which is only being released in Europe.

When tarting the console, I do not have the Friends tab and I have to force a refresh of the dashboard.

Reboot your system by holding down the power button on the console for about 8 seconds, then turn it on again.

Media player is very unstable, but it's so nice not to have to boot up my Roku or the 360 to watch stuff. I'd be happy if they just got the app stable with most of the codecs working, and subtitle support.
However, I'd love to see features added, more info about the file I'm playing (encoding, resolution, codecs), set time index skipping, playlists, and for the love of all that is holy, please MS give us better looking thumbails/interface. Yuck.

I received the October update, it must be closer to two weeks now come to think of it!
It is strange - and I've done plenty of reboots. Very weird indeed. I'll look into it again tonight and if it's same, will submit it on the forums. Also, can't we do it through the app itself?
