Games such as God Eater 2, Soul Sacrifice (Delta) and Toukiden (Kiwami) look way better than expected. Though you also have games like Ys: Memories in Celceta and Persona 4 Golden that look...how to say it, acceptable? Games that mostly have 2D graphics such as Muramasa and Demon Gaze also look pretty good on the big screen.

PSP games on the other hand...most will look blurry for obvious reason. Dithering in certain games will also become even more noticeable. Also keep in mind that you can't turn the bilinear filtering option on/off while playing PSP games on PlayStation/Vita TV.

Certain Vita games, such as the upcoming Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus and htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, have in-game actions that require the use of touch screen and/or rear touch panel even when played on PlayStation/Vita TV. In the case of htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary, you HAVE TO use both even though the game can still be played on the big sceen.. So unless you like to fiddle around with L3/R3, moving both sticks and pressing the DS3 trigger buttons to simulate touch screen/rear touch panel, those game are better played on Vita.

But hey, I can play games such as Dissidia Duodecim, Valkyria Chronicles 3 (Note: Valkyria Chronicles 3 was not released in english) and Ys Seven on my TV right away, so I am not complaining!

Personally it works great and as expected the games look good on a larger screen. For example it felt good to play god eater 2 and freedom wars using a controller.

I do use mine to play a lot of psp downloadable titles too, have quite the jrpg library thanks to that. While the graphics are what one would expect from a psp game blown up on a large screen, the ease of use and no hassle makes it worth it.

The one downside with the design is where the game card and mem card are inserted, which is under the vita logo on the top. Also, if you want to stand the system upright you need to buy a special stand for it.

Folk who are interested in a Vita tv the real investment will be with getting a 64gb card. Using ps+ you can transfer saves that way to and from the Vita and Vita TV without having to muck around with swapping memcards which I personally do not recommend doing.

How do I use the Vitas touchscreens on the PSTV?

How does suspend/resume work?

• Either do a short press on the power button or hold the PS button on DS3 for 2 seconds and pick "Standby". NOTE: If the machine is fully powered off it will need to be powered on by pressing the power button on the machine, you will not be able to use a DualShock controller.​

Can I run my previous Vita purchases, either digital or physical, on this machine?

Can I use my Vita as a controller for games without PSTV support?

• No​

Does the system use HDCP protection? Can I capture footage from it?

• The PSTV does use HDCP you will have to use something to get around that if you wish to capture footage from the machine.​

Can I switch memory cards between the Vita and the Playstation TV?

• Yes, as long as the PSN account on the machines are the same.​

Does a wired connection have any impact on PS4 remote play?

This thing is probably deader than disco the second it arrives since they're trying to break into a crowded streaming device market dominated by Roku, Amazon FireTV, AppleTV, etc.... I'm not sure the PS capability is enough to get a foot-hold. If Sony were smart enough to design this thing as being the ultimate streaming device, easy to root/hack, load XBMC on it easily, etc...then it might have a shot. But knowing Sony it'll be locked down with some proprietary bullshit that gimps its potential. So, taken in that context I doubt it'll end up as good of a streaming device as either my Roku 3s or my FireTV.

With that said, I might pick one up if I can get it at a discount. $100 for the bundle and I'd probably be sold just for the PS4 remote play.

Edit: No USB 3.0, no 1080P, no 5.1 sound...? Ouch. Not good.

With only one 'big TV' where I live I have to fight for TV time pretty often. Thankfully I have a Vita (linked to my PS4), 3DS and Wii U to address those concerns.

Been hungry for one of these ever since the thing was announced. Much as I love the Vita library, I hate to game on the go. I prefer to sit in my comfy chair with my comfy blanket, cat sprawled on my lap and looking at my bigscreen.

I've already got Danganronpa 1 & 2 ready to go. Then Persona 4 Golden, perhaps. God, there's an entire library of titles I missed out on the first pass of the PSP, so anything I can get digitally will be awesome, too.

I'm just disappointed they're not packaging the DS4 in the NA release. They've had ample time to plan for it.

I think it is great for kids. Even a small memory card can fit dozens of PSOne, psp, and vita indies. The use case for hard-core gamers is limited though.

It doesn't work on launch, and from what Idea Factory said when I contacted them about Neptunia Re;Birth 1, the JP version being compatible doesn't mean anything if the US/EU publisher doesn't put in the work to make the localised versions compatible (which, incidentally IF won't be doing with Neptunia).
