Where is PS4 mentioned? I can play Titanfall without owning an Xbox. That's not exclusive. You can't arbitrarily rule out an entire platform just because it's not THE 'direct competitor'.

I'm not impressed by the page. Two of four the best Exclusives are not out yet, one came out last Tuesday (Forza Horizon 2), and the other kinda flopped.

The last page is a mess, listing all the 2014 titles by box art I can't even tell what they are.

Listing approx 29 titles as "Exclusive Title/DLC is also a bit misleading.

FIFA 15 has "exclusive content"
Halo 5: Guardians is listed as "playable" in 2014, we all know this to be a closed beta.
Lifeless planet is on Steam

To be fair to Sony, they do a much better job of spreading out their exclusives. InFamous, MLB The Show, Transistor, Last of Us, Velocity 2X, Final Fantasy XIV and others all already came and went. For a good portion of the year, Microsoft's only big exclusive was Titanfall.

Sort of a similar thing going forward in 2015. Not sure what the release date is for Quantum Break, but Sony's straight out the gate with The Order and Bloodborne.

So you're going to just ignore the other 3 games?

This holiday when people are in stores or looking online contemplating what next gen console to buy a PS4 will sitting/showing up right next to the Xbox One. If that person does the research and decides the PC is right for them so be it but we are talking about consoles.

If you're boiling it down to company exclusives, why do you conveniently ignore games for one side?

The list wars is so pointless especially when no one seems to be able to toss their bias to the side and objectively list the games with the same qualifiers.

I get that. I think for Holiday 2014 MS has the edge on exclusive content and games though. Sony pusher back some of its big hits.

Wait, do those games count as exclusive?! Some of them are on PS3 and PC!

I agree. But I do think Sony was somewhat wise to. The Order and Bloodborne would have likely lost a lot of sales to the big fish and large crowd (Assassin's Creed, GTA, COD, Dragon Age, Far Cry etc), the way I fear Sunset Overdrive might too.

To be fair, if we're (rightfully) accusing Forza and Titanfall of not being xbox one exclusive (and hey, throw MCC in there too as it's just s port collection), then we can't count Transistor, Last of Us, Velocity, or Final Fantasy either. That leaves infamous, and MLB (did that skip vita this year?)

Not really a strong showing for either side this Christmas.

My sentiments exactly. I guess a lot of people are really excited for SO though since I keep seeing how XB1 has a much better lineup when it's more like a wash with both sides mediocre. LBP3 and MCC better not disappoint.

Welllll Forza Horizon 2 is on 360 as well. You could also make an argument about the Halo games on 360, but because a decent amount of effort has gone into that package I think it's fair game to call it an "exclusive".

But that's all just splitting hairs here. Marketing always plays fast and loose with the term "exclusive" so I don't know how anyone can be shocked or outraged at this advert. I also think it's pretty apparent Microsoft has a better holiday lineup than Sony this year.

Stuff like "MS exclusive" is just made up to fluff up lists. Exclusive means you can't get it anywhere else. Drivclub is exclusive, LBP3 is not. SO is exclusive, TF, Halo collection, and FH2 are all not (they can all be played in one way or another on different platforms). Admittedly, the case could be made for the MCC, but I still wouldn't count remasted games as exclusives (this includes stuff like TLOU. Or at least, if we are going to count them, then we should also count PS4/PS3/PC only games like FFXIV and a multitude of indie titles as "exclusive" (but then you see how using that term doesn't make sense).

Exactly, none of those are PS4 exclusive, they're just not on Xbox.

Its a goddamn list of video games. I understand people arguing the semantics, but why are so many people salty over it being posted? Boggles my mind.
