It's funny how Shinn is giving Athrun crap saying he doesn't understand because he lives in Orb and whatnot when he didn't for most of his life whereas the opposite is true for him.

Terra Formars - 03

Pretty disappointing that they didn't show how they killed the cockroaches on the ship. What's up with the pyramids though. Kinda weird how they're censoring pretty much all gore on humans, but a sliced cockroach (who pretty much look like cavemen on steroids) from top to bottom is okay

It's because it's not human, I think. Stuff like that has always been really weird. As long as it isn't human you can mangle it up as much as you want.

Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works Episode 1:

Can we get Ufotable to fix up Log Horizon after they are done with this? Damn you DEEN, damn you to the furthest bowls of hell. Anyway, this series has managed thus far to bump up Shiro from aggressive hatred to utter apathy, so yay I guess. Anyway, this was a pretty standard establishing episode, let us the audience know who the major and peripheral players are going to be. It also establishes that there is not enough production values or money in the world to make Shiro any interesting character, many because he hasn't got any. Still, being the best looking anime series of the fall season is no mean feat (Yes I know about Bahamut) and there is enough here to continue watching for the moment.

Amazing.

How can anyone be on any other team apart from Team Shirou?

Well you gotta wait until the good stuff for most people unless you've read this story before. I'll admit the character didn't click until his conversation with Ayako later on, but from that point on your literally on Shirou's wild ride of crazy.

The Light of El Cantare
I know there was a Romance of the Three Kingdom anime that was released back in 2012. I can hardly find any information about it though. Did people like it? Is it actual decent?

It's interesting because Souten Kouro one of the few RotTK-related works produced in Japan that has Cao Cao as a protagonist and depicts him in a positive light. I never watched the entire show because it took something like two years to be fully translated, but what I did watch was a mix of grotesque hyper-violence and flamboyant badassery, almost like a mix of Sengoku Basara and Fist of the North Star. It's decent.

Fate Stay Night UBW Episode 1

Damn. Not gonna lie, maybe I read it when my taste was a bit immature and I immediately compared it to the superior Fate Zero (only reason i read the VN was to get to F/Z), but Shirou isn't as bad as I recall. And without the Fate Stay in the Kitchen from Fate route, he might not be as a bad of a protag. Also the VA for Taiga wasn't as irritating as I recalled, assuming it's the same. Don't know why I was recalling with a high pitched voice.

It was nice to see Kiritsugu again. I miss you so much my Japanese Batman.

Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha - Episode 1

Right so someone got turned into a ferret, I'm now on board!

Nice introductory episode just setting out the base stuff in the show then it leaves me on a cliffhanger, gah! The hair in this show is intense, on the scene on the dinner table I couldn't help but stare at how the family's hair was moving, incredible stuff!

That is an easy one to answer, watching the Studio DEEN series would do it.

Have no knowledge on Fate/Stay so all is good.

And it is already clear he is the best.

The other characters motivations are all false.

I am on the path of justice. Just as with Fate/Zero and team Kariya ;_;

Japanese Batman...
Isn't Archer/Shirou far closer to that than Kiritsugu. From the whole being a hero, master of close quarters and mindset in general?

First time I've heard of someone refer to Kiritsugu like that[

Wait, when KimiUso's Kousei was referred to as "Batman", it was used to snark at him for being too angsty, but when it refers to Kiritsugu, it's a term of praise. I'm not sure what to think. What is the value of "Batman"?

Ought to preview for tag failure if you're positing that stuff, Principate.

Several of you said to give it 2 more episodes. I did. Not sure what is so special but things finally started happening.

A lot of the love comes from its initial airing where we were waiting week to week, waiting for whatever the fuck would happen next when the show started becoming unpredictable as if cliffhanger was a building material and Geass was hewn from it.

Obviously the main positives of Batman intelligence and ingenuity (and money), to forge himself such a way to be able to compete with hero's and villains far superior to him in other more conventional means.

When your talking about actual ideological mindset it get far more messy.

Eh a spoiler tag is a spoiler tag, people post up episode summaries so there's a lot spoilery stuff here anyway. If someone feels the need to spoil tag things here, then it's clearly big enough that you shouldn't click it. I feel having to preface that is even more excessive.

Ushinawareta Mitai o Motomete 2

Not as strong as episode 1 but there are definitely elements that keep me intrigued, such as who is the mysterious girl and what will happen when it becomes October 14th at 4:22 PM once again -- which is the date and time when Kaori is supposed to die in the other timeline. The presence of the new girl already prevented Kaori from injuring her foot on the 2nd at least.

I also love how the episode titles are done, -- kind of like a game (it is based on a visual novel after all).

Looking forward to this next week.

I'm more intrigued by the fact that the same character can be used as praise and insult within a few days of each other. By the same poster.

I agree since it's F/SN and not really worth giving a shit about but I meant the actual tag not being closed out.

Indeed, each was full of prédiction and once everyone understood it would go crazy , it was a blast to try to go crazy with it .

i'd say the show still hold it together with very nice arcs making it EXTRA entertaining to watch.

Saber vs Lancer fight was electric. Kind of a weird way to animate Gae Bolg and its power but it works.
The introspective Shirou scenes were pretty well done.

The rest of the prologue fluff is saved by Taiga being Taiga.

I love Batman. But he has some qualities that are used in parodies, and those his character are known for.

Reminding the audience that your parents are dead and that you're super dark and cannot be in the world of the happy= Parody Batman.

Badass modern ninja who wears black, is calm, collected, CQC, gadgets, intelligent, sly, good investigation skills, etc.. = Good Batman.

Now when I hear Oresky, all I can think of is Deadpool. Koyasu made that role into his own, and it's spreading outward. Megumi questioning herself on her heroism was a nice little conversation, and her Innocent Form was pretty nice. I look forward to the newer, bigger, flashier attack that all four of the HaCha team can do now that they've powered up to their coordinated forms - which, thankfully, are more versatile than the forms they've had previously. She's doing it for her mom, too. Good for you, Megumi. I wonder what Mirage is planning. Given her history, she could put up a real fight once she shows herself.

Fate/Stay Night UBW - 1

So this is the Shirou everyone talks about. Eh, he's okay so far.

Man, it's so weird seeing Sakura
with that attitude after watching Fate/Zero. Does UBW cover what happened in the ten years after Fate/Zero? Or is that another route?

Ah, Kiritsugu. Guy had to
learn all the stuff he's telling Shirou the hard way. Here's hoping Shirou doesn't end up like he did by the end of this show.

So, are the episodes gonna be 24 minutes now that the full opening is out of the way? Or is every episode going to be this length?

I think I'll recommend you Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha plus its sequel, A's. In total that's about 26 episodes. Just to stick with the magical girl theme during the watchbet.

Would that be all right?

Nanoha is a treasure and whoever has this as a watchbet is lucky!
I think I like Twintails so much because it has that hot blooded Nanoha feel to it in the battles.

Stick with it. Soon you should understand.

Couldn't help myself. Went and caught up with the "Your lie in April" manga (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso).

it's incredible. I can't wait to see and hear this animated.

You should all be paying attention to this show.

Log Horizon 19

Moondoggie Rudy, noooooooo! D: Well at least it looks like there may be hope for him next episode. And I knew he wasn't a normal adventurer. When she couldn't add him to her friends list, it was obvious. Though I was leaning more towards him being AI instead of a Person of the Land. What's cool though is that this implies People of the Land can become adventurers, albeit without the immortality.

Anyway, that was a great episode. There was lots of action, some good teamwork, and a nice amount of drama.
