Ehh...I really doubt that. If anything, they would currently have their PR people working on the greatest and most elaborate statement regarding the NPD sales in its history for the moment the numbers are released.

Well, I hope he's right.... Just because I want to see the media bandwagon and glory articles of this happening. It will last for the next two months even after Sony (may) beat it the month after.

Generally, there is always a different tone when Microsoft wins something versus Sony winning something.

If a $399 titanfall bundle didnt do it, why would something else will? Sony said that it was their biggest week since Christmas. The only reason xbone outsold ps4 was due to supply constrain. Pachter can you send me some of that you are smoking?

Only by 50k would be one of the closest prediction in the prediction thread. Not gonna look over the entire thread, but so many people predicted 100k or over for a difference.

I just can't see this as being even remotely close to being true.n especially not with the white ps4 bundle. Even though I can see his reasoning I just don't see it.

Prepare for global GAF meltdown if true though.

Everyday on twitch lirik gets about 20-30k viewers watching dayz, arma 3 life RP, and battle royale. There's a lot of people wanting a variety of open world survival games that aren't bugged to shit. RP makes things really fun.

MS could use their money to bring versions of that. I'm not expecting much from dayz and h1z1 on ps4.

Until NPD numbers are out, MS aint going to say anything. If they did outsell the PS4, they will link the NPD numbers to show they did it. And of course bring it up at every opportunity they can.

I see people posting predictions that have the PS4 like 300k ahead of the X1 lol, despite all the deals and free games MS handed out. The PS4 will win, but by 50-80k units or so, that's it.

Well, that is certainly a bold claim by Patcher. Of all the months the X1 outsells the PS4, it's the month that the biggest multiform game releases with marketing for the PS4 version. Thursday will be interesting to say the least.

I definitely agree. But everyone for some reason just eats up whatever he says like candy.

Case in point pack in games are normally free incentives to buy a system. On PS4 they charge you $10 less than buying same game and system.

Because Amazon is frankly a very very small part of the marketshare. Companies like Wal Mart / GameStop destroy their market share.

That being said I'm not claiming Xbox One won anything. Just simply that it has been seeing healthy sales the past 2 months.

I think Destiny sold over 2 million copies on the PS4, I hardly consider it a waste.

Are you honestly in the belief that people who purchase Playstation 4s are more likely to use an online retailer? Because even if they are only a "small part", the whole ratio doesn't go out the window because of it.

I could see the Xbone outselling the PS4 in November, maybe, but September is a pipe dream!

I sort of want to see it happen though just for a spicy NPD thread.

I hope Microsoft loses in September so they have to try even harder in November and December.
