I just want to say that I am absolutly speechless about the last few pages of this thread ... the terrorist treat, the "ok to enter with guns", the chan screenshot ... everything.

Not necessarily, You just seem to be saying she's lashing out at local gun laws because there was a death threat against her and she decided to cancel a talk. Very odd.

Nope. They'll all just stubbornly and vehemently deny that it has anything to do with Gamergate. That it doesn't represent Gamergate. That it isn't caused by Gamergate. That people trying to link it to Gamergate have some kind of spooky agenda. That people speaking out about it are doing it for attention.
And believe it or not (I found it hard to for a long time) they absolutely believe it.
This is when ignorance and a lack of awareness beyond yourself turns you into a shitty fucking person.
He just might not have seen the tweet where she says she requested patd owns and metal detectors. If the assumptoin was she just expected a sign posted and would be satisfied with that, I could see how that's odd.
But if there have been bomb threats in the past I'm sure they had bomb sniffing dogs check the place out and now with gun threats you would expect them to be willing to pat people down.
But I guess the terrifying law is the terrifying law.

Like a month ago I wondered what a brain scan would show of whatever parts of the brain handle pattern recognition. Playing six degrees of Kevin Bacon on LinkedIn reveals to them massive conspiracies reaching to the highest echelons of power; seeing women and defenders of women that GG happens to hate at the moment constantly being threatened and hacked and doxxed so many times now is just a weird string of coincidences and false flag attacks.

I was scrolling through my facebook feed and saw the conference treat news posted by Destructoid's account. Looked at the comments and... fuck. Are the gamergaters working together to identify and collectively shit up news like this, or is the "average gamer" really that brain-dead?

I hate to be that guy, or hell that woman, but we've been saying for years how shitty it is to be a woman who games or is in the industry. Seems this whole debacle is a big "told you so" for us I guess.

The average gamer is really an angry swarm of people who generally get defensive when they see something they like get any form or criticism. It happens in almost any hobby... but with this one in particular it has gotten really nasty and stupid. At least they are not rioting in the cities... yet...

How long have you been on the internet/ on earth? The vast majority of threats in person and online are empty. I've had multiple people google shit on me and make threats on me just for beating them in online games or posting shit they didn't like on a wow message board. Not to mention real life wanna be thugs who have talked shit. Who besides shut ins haven't had at least some online troll threaten them at some point?
Yes I feel bad for people who are threatened but psycos didn't need gamergate to troll/make real threats, all gamergate did was give them a new target until they get bored or get psychiatric treatment.
Yet the more the press wants to lump in everyone (gamergate involved or like me not involved) with said psycos the less of a fuck I give about them getting harassed online.
Had multiple anti gg journos harassing me on twitter about gun nuts/gun control because I said I agree with the broad ideas of Anita's videos, but find the execution quite poor. Seriously at that point fuck off and enjoy only interacting with psycos and trolls.

Hell is venture to say there are way more liberals than anything else and this Gamergamer is only getting bigger and getting more mainstream attention and if I were a producer or a director I would not want anything to do with a ultra right winged nut job like Adam Baldwin. Considering this "movement" essentially stands for a hate group against women, well, a ban on GAF would have been worth it. People need to take a fucking stand.

Considering your actions the mods were quite lenient. Calling out the actions of the moderation team usually results in an automatic ban. You got off lightly so take care with your existing account now. Juniors are generally more vulnerable.
