The writing was expected to be worse... as Gen Urobuchi isn't doing the script in season 2 the movie should be better again though as he is supposed to be doing that.
Whenever I had to call customer service to change my payment info (got a new card this month), I always got the same girl and she was hilarious.

God I love this show. It was so good, and it had me rolling at times. The bathroom scene in particular was hilarious. This, Bahamut, and Chaika are my favorite series' currently.

This show is so fucking stupid but somehow the fact that the show is completely self-aware causes it to loop around back into hilarious. How did this get greenlit?

The most amazing thing about the show is despite how crazy some of the happenings are, I can 100% believe these are real conversations that real human beings had and continue to have in animation production. The director's meeting almost moved me to tears in laughter. The way the music adds to the dread during the dubbing scenes and the inspiration during the director's meeting was also on point. Even two episodes in, I'm pretty sure this is the best "cute girls do thing X" Japan has ever made.

Still frames, CG and bad art (especially during humor) aside, this was an interesting episode. Perhaps a bit too convenient with how the plot progressed, but exciting nonetheless. And the music is damn good.
My assessment from last week still stands, though. This would be much better if the show was straight drama, or if the humor at least matched the tone of the rest of the show.

Psycho-Pass 2 - Episode 2
This is a bad show with bad writing and bad production values, I don't know why I can't stop watching. I really should, because it's bad. It's kinda funny how this episode tries to mirror a lot of the stuff in the early episodes of the first season, especially ep2. Akane in the shower. Extended boring conversations about reports in the office. The close-up of the really bad CG fan on the ceiling. Akane watching an Enforcer train with a robot dummy. Akane's stupid jellyfish AI housekeeper. It's all so familiar, and just as bad as it was the first time round if not worse. But yet I will keep watching to find out who "he" is... fml.

At least the other half of noitaminA this season is much better. I'm still not really sold on the dramatic aspects of this show, but I think the feelings it successfully invokes in the presentation of the characters and themes make up for it somewhat. It was pretty funny seeing all the static "performances" before the Kaori shows up and gets a fully animated one though. Expected for a TV series, but still, really funny. I wonder how accurate the actual musical performances were for the episode though. I'm so bad at music stuff I can't tell one way or another. Was the guy who was supposed to be "off" actually making any obvious mistakes?

Not sure what people where talking about this didn't feel censored at all...maybe I watched a different verison.
These coackarouch people are brutal, am a bit dissapointed the cool palestina/israeli? guy is already dead(and the black guy) R.I.P ethnic diverse cast.

Sound design throughout the series is just sublime.I's soundtrack is great but it's also comfortable enough to have large spans of silence to really nail how rural and remote some of these places are especially in winter themed episodes.
Might do a post about Cagliostro later.

Also, I find it supremely ironic that, when Himself realises that Ozu's his only real friend, Ozu doesn't even recognise him, because all the hijinks they went through together never happened in that timeline.
